My Angels and All Other Sins

I don’t really want to spend a lot of time on sexual sins, but it seems to me that in most religious circles of most any kind, murder has become forgivable while most any sexual sin isn’t.  Let me just say that most religions have it backwards.  It’s just that with sexual sins, they can be chronic, while murder is a one time offense.  Let me just say that something happens to a murderer once he or she has purposely taken Human Life.  I can’t explain it because it’s the one sin of which I am not guilty.  However, I know something happens to a murderer that only he or she can explain.  Once one has purposely taken a Human Life, there can be NO return to what was prior to that event.  This is what Jesus teaches in all His parables.  The act of murder changes a person for all eternity.  And even a murderer knows this.  But many who forgive murderers have not experienced what every murderer feels once he or she has purposely taken a Human Life.  ONLY a murderer can know this.

I would say that one losing one’s virginity changes one, but the change in one isn’t like that of the change in a murderer at all.  At some point in time, one will either experience sex before marriage or one will become married and then experience sex.  There IS something to be said about virgins.  In fact, the Romans revered virgins so much that virgins became the counselors of the empire.  Virgins were trusted so much that if one took on a lover, both she and her lover were killed, because it was believed that a virgin would share all she knows with her lover.  Virgins really were the keepers of secrets of the ruling class of Rome.  And if it were ever to be found out that a virgin violated this secrecy both she and the ones she told would be put to death.

There IS something to be said about virgins.  In fact, it would be my preference for ALL women, but in fact, this is NOT going to happen.  I understand this perfectly too.  So, I will continue with my thinking about a woman and her vagina from yesterday’s post.  What a woman chooses to do with her vagina is her business and hers alone.  God doesn’t even care what any woman does with her vagina.  She can give it away all she wants to whomever she wishes or she can keep it to herself.  But either way, God doesn’t care.  The same is true for men.  God does NOT have a problem with sexual sins.  We just have to live with whatever we do in life and that is a choice that isn’t ours to make otherwise.  We live with our sins and we have to let others live with their sins.  No one has a right to take ANY Human Life except for God Himself who is the Giver of ALL life.  We don’t exist apart from His will.  So, while I have my sexual preferences for everyone, the fact is, it doesn’t matter what ANY person does sexually as long as one does no harm; one lives in the context of laws that govern sexual behavior; and that one can live with what one does.  That is it.  Murder is NOT perpetual like sexual sins.  It is final.  Once one murders, one has already separated oneself from God already.  This separation can NEVER be restored no matter what a person does.  But while sexual sins are perpetual, there is nothing in God’s Judgment that prohibits anyone from doing what they wish as long as he or she does no harm.  That’s it.  This is ALL that matters to God.

Murder is a one time event, but that event can NEVER restore one’s relationship with God no matter what one does.  ALL sinful pleasures are just that.  Each person can decide what he or she will do sexually.  And God doesn’t care about sexual choices a person makes.  People will care and will judge according to their beliefs.  This IS what people do.  But again, I say what I have been saying, NO ONE JUDGES ANYONE for God.  No one!
