Breath of God

A purifying fire of divine love,

confirming an astounding revelation,

moving across the calmest waters,

hovering in each gentle breeze,

tirelessly soothing, tiring, aching limbs;

caressing the heights of snow covered mountains,

accompanying the depths of immense oceans,

present in the rainfall of the early morning,

leaving a light dew upon the cloak of creation;

flooding the senses of the waking spirit,

energising the expectant heart,

steadying the trembling frame…

Silently, beautifully, bringing about life’s miracle,

the eternal, inspirational, re-creating breath of God.
