COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANITY AND THE DOCTRINES OF MEN

Counterfeit Christianity occurs when men lay claim to a title that is reserved for Christ alone.
Seventeen times in the New Testament the word shepherd is used. This word shepherd is always used in the singular when referring to Christ.
There is only one verse in all of the New Testament where the word shepherd, is translated to pastors (Eph 4:11). The problem with this translation is significant.
This subtle yet deceptive change, wherein the word pastor is inserted in place of shepherd, creates a deadly precedent. This sets up albeit falsely, the justification for a hierarchy, allowing certain men to have authority over others.

Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Counterfeit Christianity and its false teachers, do not want you to know that there is only one verse where the word shepherd is changed to pastors as in plural (Eph 4:11). If there was to be a hierarchy in the church apart from Christ, He would have mentioned it at least once, but He does not!

John 10:11-12 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANITY CLAIMS THAT WE ARE STILL UNDER THE OLD LAW

When we walk in the spirit of Christ, we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. To be quickened by the Spirit is to walk orderly in the Spirit, wherein we do not desire vain glory as do the false teachers (Gal 5:16, 25, 26).

Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

The manifestation of the works of the flesh include the sins of idolatry, variance, seditions and heresies.

Variance represents a contradiction to the teachings of Jesus, brought about by those responsible for Counterfeit Christianity, who claim to be pastors and lead the sheep astray.

Matt 15:8-9 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Seditions are in reference to those who cause divisions in the body of Christ. This crime runs rampant in these last days.

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Heresies are beliefs or opinions that are contrary to true Christian doctrine, as taught by Christ. They are the unbiblical teachings and commandments of men.

Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Idolatry is not only practiced in modern-day Christian circles, it is applauded and highly sought-after in this new age Counterfeit Christianity cult.

1 John 2:15-16 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Idolatry is materialism, pride, self-indulgence and the admiration of others including those that call themselves pastors.

Mainstream so-called pastors teach tithing and keeping the Sabbath. But the Old Testament laws and ordinances are no longer in play for the New Covenant believer.

Not only is teaching tithing to a new covenant church deceitful, it is also harmful and instills greed and selfishness. Everything we have belongs to the Lord, to proclaim that 90% of what we have is for us to do with as we please, is contrary to the teachings of Jesus.

This non-spiritual mindset leads to the sin of covetousness or the lusts of the flesh. The vast majority of those who call themselves Christians believe, that as long as long as they tithe, and spend a few hours listening to a preacher on Sunday, that God is very pleased with them.
The remainder then, of their time and money is for them to do with as they wish.
Counterfeit Christianity promotes this way of thinking that leads to a selfish and self-centered materialistic lifestyle.

Christ abolished the Mosaic Law and ordinances, this includes tithing and the keeping of the Sabbath.

Heb 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ…

After the new law of Christ was established, the claim of justification through the Law of Moses is simply a heretical doctrine.

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

To attempt or pretend to be justified by the Old law is to bring upon one’s self a deadly curse. As well, without the shed blood of Christ, there is no covering for one’s sins.

Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

We are not under the Old Testament law, but the law of Christ’s grace.

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

To claim to be under the Old Testament law is to deny the New Law of Christ. As well, one forfeits the gift of grace and demonstrates a lack of faith in the workings of what Christ accomplished at the cross.

Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law…

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANITY AND THE DOCTRINES OF MEN

The Christian Salvation deception is a destructive and deadly doctrine preached to and believed by the majority within the religion of this Counterfeit Christianity.
Not only is Salvation impossible to obtain before Christ returns with our Salvation, it is also impossible to be saved without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him,Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

You are saved when you are saved. As the word clearly tells us, he who endures until the end will be saved (Math 24:13).

Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

John baptized with water but he spoke of Christ who would baptize with the Holy Spirit, which is a necessary part of the Salvation process.
Salvation is quite impossible to obtain until the second advent of Jesus Christ at the end of this age. So if you can convince people that they already are saved, you can probably persuade them into believing many other false teachings contrary to those found in the New Covenant Gospel.

The hope or end result of our faith is the salvation of our souls (1 Peter 1:9, Gal 5:22, 1 Cor 1:8-9).

One of the purposes of this deception is to keep people from ever receiving the power to endure and overcome the world through Christ. Another is to ensure they never fully comprehend the New Covenant Gospel, and this also allows the false teachers, to retain their position and power.

Matt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ has given us a sure hope of eternal life through his Holy Spirit. The New Covenant Gospel of Salvation is what sets Christianity apart from all other man made religions. But to allege that Salvation has already transpired is to disallow faith and hope from occurring. How can you hope for something you already claim to possess (2 Tim 2:14-18, Rom 5:2, Tit 3:7, 1 Peter 1:13).

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

You can not discuss the hope that you do not have, because of the assurance of Salvation that you claim to already possess.

1 Thes 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANITY IS THE RESULT OF UNBIBLICAL TEACHINGS

Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive

Counterfeit Christianity represents distortions of the truth, grievous offenses and utter lies that are accepted as doctrine today, establishing clearly the lateness of the hour. It is like a blanket of darkness that has almost completely smothered out the light of the true Word of God.

Eph 5:6-7 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

The light that is within us, represents our spiritual understanding. But if that illumination is based on the traditions of man and it is contrary to the Gospel of Christ, then what we really have is the absence of Christ’s light.

1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth

When Christian denominations follow after the doctrines of men, they are involved in a system of religious beliefs and rituals (2 Tim 4:3-4). This is also the identification of a Christian cult or Counterfeit Christianity.

2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

To recognize what is false, we must first have an understanding of what the truth really is.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

It is only when His Spirit truly dwells within us, that we can fully understand and follow, the New Covenant Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The Apostle Paul’s preaching was not with enticing words based on his own wisdom, but it was a demonstration of the incredible power of the Holy Spirit.

2 Tim 2:15-16 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Our faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God (1 Cor 2:4-5).

COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANITY FLOURISHES WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH IS ABSENT

Counterfeit Christianity is achieved when unbiblical teachings are defended that are contrary to the Gospel truths; the doctrine of the trinity is one of them.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

This verse in Isaiah should easily settle the matter, but we will provide a few more for good measure. Christ is called the mighty God and the everlasting Father, validating his declaration that He and the Father were one.

John 6:28-29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom (he hath) sent.

The words he hath, are inserted in this verse without warrant. The work of God is to believe on him who is sent.

The so-called mystery of the trinity does not add clarity to the nature of God, and it certainly diminishes the nature and Glory of Jesus.

John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom (thou hast) sent.

The first use of the word and (G 1161) in the above verse is used correctly, as it is a continuative. The second use of the word and (G2352) should be translated as even, also or indeed, as it is a connector. The words thou hast, need to be completely removed from this verse as well.

The correct interpretation of this verse is as follows.
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God, even Jesus Christ, whom is sent forth.

John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

To understand this verse we simply need to refer to 1 Tim 3:16.

1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory

What Jesus declared in the gospel of John should easily destroy the false teaching regarding the doctrine of the trinity.
• If you know me, you know my father also, because I and the Father are One (John 14:7, John 10:30).
• From this present time you both know the father, and have seen him; this was possible because God was manifest in the flesh (John 14:7, 1 Tim 3:16).
• He that sees me has seen the Father John (14:9).
• I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me (John 14:11).
• The Father hath life in Himself; also it is given to the Son to have life in Himself (John 5:26).
• Jesus Himself declared that there is but one God (Mark 12:29-32).

COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANITY PRODUCES SEDITIONS AND HERESIES

Counterfeit Christianity represents the doctrines of men, and the pre-tribulation rapture theory is the stuff of fairy tales.

Mark 13:24-27 But in those days, after that tribulation… shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and Christ will gather together his elect…

To attempt to justify a Pre tribulation Rapture deception requires the destruction of a lot of Scripture and a complete disregard for the teachings of Christ.

We are not taken up to the kingdom of heaven, but rather Christ brings the kingdom to us.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven (Matt 6:10).
Wherever Christ is there the Elect will be also, the Elect are the ones left behind. Hell is the destination of those who are taken, to await the second death (Rev 19:20, 20:6, 20:10-15, Matt 25:31-34).

Upon his return, Jesus Christ rewards the true believer and follower with Salvation. Those who believe in the Pre tribulation Rapture and other deceptive doctrines do not have the Holy Spirit of truth residing in them.

Romans 8:8-9 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Without the Spirit of Christ dwelling within us, we can not have a true spiritual relationship with Him and are therefore not His.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness

The Pre tribulation Rapture teaching represents deception, brought about by fraudulent charlatans posing as God’s messengers.

Matt 24:39-40 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left.

When Christ returns a second time, one shall be taken, but not to heaven.  Those left behind remain on earth; this is the exact opposite of what the pre-tribulation rapture movement teaches. It is simply amazing how many buy into this grievous fable.
