-Canada: No Charges Against Imams Calling for Killing of Jews

Canadian Jewish groups are outraged that no charges were filed against two Muslim imams who called for the killing of Jews in sermons given at an Islamic mosque in Montreal. From CJN:

Wael al-Ghitawi and Sayed al-Ghitawi gave the contentious sermons at the Al-Andalous Islamic Centre in the St-Laurent borough of Montreal in 2014.

Both the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) and B’nai Brith Canada filed complaints against the men with Montreal police, charging that they had incited hatred and violence against Jews.

The sermons came to the public’s attention in February of this year, when YouTube videos of the talks were brought to light by some Toronto-based investigative journalists who translated them.

Response: If Jewish rabbis or Christian pastors suggested that Muslims should be killed one by one in sermons can you imagine it being ignored by Canadian authorities? No. They would be prosecuted for sure.

This demonstrates how Islam has gained a special place in PC governmental deference, especially in Canada, that results in ignoring the actual calling for violence against unbelievers and in this case Jews. Islamophobia is taken very seriously in that country and folks who have even criticized Islam in the last several years have found themselves in trouble. Canada is even beginning to pursue  global warming and climate change ‘deniers.’ However, I guess anti-Semitism is ‘old hat’ and ok and maybe even justified if you a Muslim? But actually calling for and supporting the killing of Jews or anyone else should never be ignored.

But it seems to be all over the Western world. A week doesn’t go by without seeing a report of some Islamic leader somewhere calling for violence or anti-Semitism in Western nations. Most of the time it is ignored in the UK and now in Canada also? Two imams in California recently called for the destruction of the Jewish people and a half hearted ‘apology’ was considered to be enough?

But if a Christian preacher says anything that might be construed as being Islamophobic they find themselves in trouble or even arrested in the UK. Especially if they even dare to suggest that homosexuals may not be going to Heaven in the after life. Nevertheless, it is OK and ignored if Muslim leaders call for actual deeds of violence and even Killing? Obviously Islam now has a special place in some nations including Canada.               *Top
