No Second Thoughts

I have no regrets about what I said about what it would take to lessen the likelihood of someone using a gun either on themselves or on others.  My thinking is that if you want to own a gun, there really should be testimony from those closest to you that you won’t threaten anyone or that you won’t turn the gun on yourself.  And this really needs to be done for EVERY single gun purchase, with the understanding that a change in testimony from anyone near a gun owner  COULD be cause to take your gun(s) from one who is deemed unworthy to own guns.  In MY world, I would do anything I could to make this world safer for EVERYONE!

When it comes to cars, as cars are becoming more autonomous of the driver, there are security designs in cars now that make them seemingly self-driving.  As our society changes so do our laws.  This is the way it is.  And while there are changes in every aspect of our lives, our laws need to be constantly changing as well.  If there is failure in the safety apparatus on cars now, yes, it’s possible that the manufacturer could get sued.  It has happened in a number of cases where deaths have occurred due to faulty designs of automobiles.  But faulty design doesn’t always take the owner off the hook, particularly if the owner didn’t take the car in when it was recalled for safety issues.  And I am not opposed to manufacturers of guns being held responsible for flaws that cause injury to others, including the person puling the trigger.  This doesn’t mean that in general, people can’t own guns, it simply means RESPONSIBILITY for manufacture of guns and gun ownership.  But there are just too many people who will cry foul if their Second Amendment rights are taken from them.

The point in all this is that it SHOULD be harder for cars to be used as weapons and as cars become safer with the technology available, then so should guns and gun owners.  It’s just common sense.  No one should own a gun that can’t use one and no one needs a gun which has an only purpose to kill people.  In controlled environments, guns can be used any way a person wants to use one.  But when an environment is not controlled, then common sense would simply dictate that no one own a gun who can’t be responsible for owning one.

I see my task as Brother Ralphie to do what I can do to put an end to all murder, killing, wars, and suicides.  I won’t win this battle with Satan, but I DO have a voice for my Angels and I will use it for them.  Peace.  I am Brother Ralphie writing for my Angels from the Angels of Life Institute.
