A Sad Commentary

I have wondered about President Trumps mental capabilities.  It all began during the Republican primaries back in the Spring of 2016.  It was suggested by one of the other candidates that perhaps Trump isn’t of sound mind.  I have wondered about this for quite some time, wondering if he can separate fantasy from reality.  And there are still his supporters who believe in his policies regardless of his mental capabilities.  I don’t need to say much about this, except to say that I have not nor am I now a Trump supporter.  And I think I need to make this perfectly clear.  I see his policies as a threat to Human Life.  And I think that is all I need to say about it. 

I think it’s a sad day when there are Americans who have to separate themselves from this president and make it known publicly that one does NOT give him his or her support.  I feel bad for people who live in this country who are from both Africa and Haiti.  I don’t need to say anything more about this either, except to say that I personally want to go out of my way to say that this president doesn’t speak for any American except his supporters.  I, for one, believe that people from ALL countries contribute to our nation’s economy.  In some respects, I wanted to wait until all the backlash from his comments has been said.  I wanted to wait for the pundits to speak their minds.  And then all I really need to say is what I have just said. 

This president of the US doesn’t promote Peace.  You won’t be seeing him receiving any Nobel or any other prizes for Peace.  It won’t happen.  And further, I have already said that I don’t believe this president will survive his first term.  We have elections coming up in November of this year that more than likely will switch both houses of Congress over to the opposing party.  I really think it’s going to happen.  Trump has the support of about a third of Americans with the lowest approval ratings of any president in recent memory.  If you are reading this and you are from another country seeking citizenship, all I can say to you is that about two-thirds of this country want you to succeed here.  I really can’t be more emphatic about this.  You have the support of more than two-thirds of the adult population of the US.  And if you are a Dreamer, you can rest assured that same two-thirds want you to have citizenship.  I am among the majority of those people. 

I am sorry that I feel as though I have to apologize for this president.  I would like to say that he means well, but he doesn’t know what empathy really is.  And he doesn’t know anything other than his own wants and wishes.  I don’t know how this president got elected, but I can tell you this:  I had nothing to do with it.  I wish to separate myself as far from him as I can.  About the only thing he and I have in common is our nationality.  And really, that is about it.  Peace.  I am Brother Ralphie writing for my Angels from The Angels of Life Institute.
