I Won't Mention Dates for the End of the World

I don’t want to give those who have set dates for the end of the world scenarios.  I don’t want to give these people ANY credibility whatsoever.  But it might be important for those who read my posts to know as to which dates I am referring.  I have already mention one date this month, but the fact is, while I don’t want to repeat myself over and over with the same message, I am simply waiting for the Messiah to come.  That could be before this day is over.  And I take life a day at a time, while at the same time, I am not planning for the end of the world, my death, or even the Messiah coming.  I still plan my life as if I will be here in another five years or so.  This means I go to the gym on a regular basis.  It means I still take care of myself.  While I don’t worry about death, it is incumbent on me to at least live as if I COULD die IF I don’t take care of myself.  It’s not death that I fear.  It’s the pain of getting there, unless I knew I would die on my sleep or something like that. 

Now, the fact is, that when it comes to what I do as Brother Ralphie, I think as if the Messiah could come at most any time now.  But as for myself, I live my life the way I would normally live it.  This means that as Brother Ralphie I have a lot of work to do and as myself, I have a lot of things I need to take care of including my own body.  And this is how I live.  I won’t plan for the end of the world or even for the coming of the Messiah because:  One, the world isn’t going to end; and two, no one knows when the Messiah will come.   I won’t believe anyone who says he or she knows the dates of either of these events.  So, the fact is, I don’t live in fear.  In fact, other than the pain of dying, I fear really nothing.  I know that today God will take care of me; He will take care of me tomorrow; and I can plan on God taking care of me in the future.  But this doesn’t mean I don’t do anything for myself.  I plan as if I will be here until old age.  No one is going to convince me to not pay my bills.  No one can convince me to not plan.  No one can convince me that I need to plan for death.  And I don’t.  I COULD plan to live on this earth without the Messiah coming for another 30 years.  But as I have said, really, all we have is today. 

This might mean that I am rather schizophrenic about being myself and then being another person I have created in my mind.  Well, in a way, I AM both.  It’s just that I will NEVER tell ANYONE to plan as if the world is going to end tomorrow.  Unless the Messiah comes, nothing will change.  We will just see more of the same.  And that is the way it is.  I am thinking ahead, but not too far ahead.  If the Messiah doesn’t come today, He could be here tomorrow.  Or He might not come until I am way into old age.  I don’t know.  And if you want to know the Truth, it’s something I wish I could know, but no one else knows either.  Relax and enjoy your life until the Messiah comes.  It’s not until then we won’t see any REAL changes in this world.  And for most of us, it will be for the better.  Peace,
