The love of God reigns in the hearts of all saints, but there is one who has the joy of being the patron saint of lovers: St. Valentine.
According to a tradition, St. Valentine risked his life to marry couples in a Christian way during the time of persecution. He finally gave his life in martyrdom, which is the ultimate manifestation of love. The love of this holy priest for Jesus Christ and for defending the Sacrament of Matrimony inspires us to raise human love to the heights of the divine love for which we were created. Christians should take advantage of this feast to recover the Christian meaning of love and marriage in the light of Christ.

The feast of St. Valentine has become a Feast-of-Fornication as well as of a One-Night-Stand to the world. It is sad to recognize that this feast was first announced days ago with the commercialized apparition of pink colored shop windows, then this day starts with a little gift and an invitation for an un-Catholic date, to become a canddled-lighted dinner and usually finishing in the sac for most unfortunate couples who lose their soul. From this article, thank-you CNA to remind that this priest was going against Roman paganism by performing the Sacrament of Matrimony in a clandestine way within the Church of the Catacombes. I draw a lesson from this particular day of February 14, 2024, and I am sorry to be a party-crasher on our ongoing year 2024.
This year’s St Valentine falls onto Ash’s Wednesday. Both feasts which are in obvious opposition between the pagan world of depravation against the penitent world is a rare event. It is not every year that St. Valentine falls on Ash Wednesday. In fact my table of movable feasts shows that this duality occur six years ago in 2018, then not for at least 21 years sometimes before 1997, or again, in an other calendar on a missal which was surely used by St. Teresa of Lisieux, only twice which was during years 1872 & 1877! The duality of those two feasts is rare, and for this reason, it must be regarded in a special way with obviously the penitence supplanting the slipping into paganism, fornication as well as adultery. I speak of ADULTERY, because the Roman Catholic Church has been in a state of adultery since the conclave of 1958, when Our Mother the Church was abandoned by the clergy. I’ll spare you from a long lecture demonstrating how Our Mother was supplanted by Our Marâtre the counter-church in a coup d’etat occurring on October 26 during the tragic conclave of 1958, but the result is here. Our Mother has been pushed into the catacombes while the concubine and her illegitimate lovers, headed by a series of antipopes, is feasting in the most shameful ways. This year’s dual feast of St. Valentine (of the Catacombes) and of the penance of Ash’s hopefully will remind of what true love and veritable charity is all about.
