Fed Govt implementing “Tagging Tracking and Locating” program

The “Federal Tagging, Tracking, and Locating” program was devised to fight terror — by affixing tracking devices to “alleged terrorists.” The program was given the ok several years ago. But what happens when the government begins to assume that any and all private citizens are “potential terrorists”?

The Federal State has been developing the “Tagging, Tracking, and Locating,” (TTL) in the Middle East. But like other government “terror war” programs the TTL was moved into domestic implementation. It was quietly used as a tracking program to keep an eye on criminals — labeling criminals as “potential domestic terrorists.”

Now this same program is being targeted at our children in the name of safety, by making the case that the State is the primary care-giver and protector, as opposed to the parent. Yes, the government has begun tagging children through the government schools.

The TTL program is still considered a part of the “Global War on Terror.” This is a huge problem with granting this kind of power to government; many members of the political class define “terrorism” far differently than you or I.

To many in Washington, terror is simply questioning the status quo. This is why various government agencies are using “terror-fighting” government powers to launch programs against tax evaders, peaceful anti-oil-drilling activists, anti-war activists, Catholic Worker groups, and more.

As far as many of today’s government agencies are concerned anyone could be a terrorist, because anyone could organize around ideas that run contrary to the current status quo.

And the current status quo amounts to State-supremacy.

School children are being chipped this school year, in different ways, all over the country. This is something that was unheard of just a few short years ago. A “Smart Badge Program” was launched in a New Mexicohigh school. Tracking devices are being clipped to children’s backpacks in Chicago. Another program was rolled out in an elementary school in California — at a cost of $50,000, paid for by federal grant.

To get an idea of how quickly this could lead to a mass chipping program applied to every single American, consider this: Just last year, government school systems began boasting about watching children in their own homes through video surveillance. Many parents didn’t complain — much. A few did bring their concerns to court; and the court ruled in favor of the government. (Essentially, the government ruled in favor of the government.)

Summer hadn’t even ended before Backscatter vans roaming the streetswith surveillance cameras that can see through walls. Government surveillance is being applied to entire families, not just the kids. (Check points have begun being set up in suburban communities the last week of September.)

At about the same time the Backscatter vans began patrolling the streets, and kids began getting chipped in the government schools, courts had ruled that government possesses the “right” to monitor every move you make with the help of GPS. That ruling is being contested, but don’t expect anything favorable to liberty to become of this.

For now, children are being tracked with devices that are embedded in ID cards or clips. Expect something more invasive in the near future — which I’ll explain in a moment.

Wired Magazine received a letter back in 2007 warning about the TTL program, and they printed the letter in their Danger Room section online.

Also in 2007, the Federal Government was looking for qualified applicants to help break in the TTL Program. The Pentagon was also testing different methods for tracking people without them knowing about it; such as through remote fingerprint detection, and through other experimental means.

The email warned that government wasn’t only deploying the TTL  program in the Middle East; that the government was beginning to implement it domestically, starting with criminals and then moving to others within the United States.

The fact that the government is quickly shifting its “terror war” toward We The People explains … well, what we see happening today. Is the sudden tracking and monitoring of children simply the latest phase in this TTL program? I think the answer is YES.
