Screening for The Carrington Event This Week in NC

Those of you that have been loyal readers of Top Secret Writers for a while may recall that not too long ago we published a full interview with director Rob Underhill. In that interview we discussed his production of a television series titled “The Carrington Event”.

The Carrington Event focuses on the story of a small town, caught in the whirlwind of a scenario that is becoming more and more realistic as time goes on and as the Earth rolls into the peak of the current solar cycle. In The Carrington Event, a major solar flare wipes out the world’s electrical grid, and pits community against community and neighbor against neighbor, as once-civilized people come to grips in a world that has become uncivilized.

In our interview, Rob and I discussed the inspiration for the series – the actual Carrington Event that took place in 1859.
