Assange Embarrasses Cameron At UN Meeting

British Prime Minister David Cameron has faced huge embarrassment during the United Nations General Assembly, as WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange gives a provocative speech via a videolink.

Assange addressed the UN meeting in New York from the Ecuadorean Embassy in London through a satellite link.

Cameron addressed the UN General Assembly while talking about enhancing support for creating democracies in the Arab world.

The British Prime Minister’s speech was countered by Assange, as the 41-year-old Australian activist condemned Britain’s closest ally the United States for persecuting and torturing Bradley Manning,
a former US soldier, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for supplying the WikiLeaks campaign with diplomatic and military information.

Assange told the UN that Manning is a current victim of abuse and psychological torture.
