The Mariana UFO Incident – Strange UFO Footage Still Unexplained

One of the most compelling incidents supporting the theory that UFOs exist and have visited Earth occurred in August 1950 when Nick Mariana, then general manager of the Great Fall Selectrics baseball team, and his secretary, reported witnessing two sphere-shaped objects flying across the sky.

Mariana captured the flying objects on his camera. The film was one of the first to ever be taken of an alleged UFO sighting and naturally received widespread national publicity and is widely regarded as being the first great UFO sighting in the U.S.

The incident is, however, fraught with conflicting expert opinion. Despite a string of contrasting opinions about the case, none of the theories have ever been confirmed and the strange UFO footage taken in Great Falls in 1950 remains as unexplained today as it was 63 years ago.

The video has managed to withstand the best efforts of UFO sceptics to explain what the shiny disk-shaped objects were and to discredit the UFO explanation.

After seeing the video footage, the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio opened an investigation into the sighting.
