Zimmerman Charges Downgraded: Second Degree Murder Dropped To Manslaughter
EDITOR NOTE: Was he overcharged by prosecutor in order to guarantee lesser charge?
George Zimmerman, the man on trial for killing Trayvon Martin, is now facing a lesser charge of manslaughter when the jury begins deliberations. The judge recently agreed to instruct jurors to consider the charge, switching from the original charge of second degree murder.
Judge Debra Nelson is also planning to rule on a request by the prosecution that a charge of third-degree murder be considered.
Zimmerman’s attorneys objected to the addition of any other charges, and a hearing was held on the matter Thursday morning. The new setup still gives the jury the option of convicting Zimmerman of second degree murder.
Experts are saying that this modification shows that the prosecution is not confident that they can secure a conviction for second degree murder.
“They aren’t going to go all or nothing,” said Jose Baez, a Floridacriminal defense attorney. “They aren’t blind to the fact that they haven’t proven second-degree murder.”
Second-degree murder in Florida can lead to a life sentence for those who’ve been convicted. But a manslaughter conviction can give Zimmerman up to 30 years in prison. Third-degree murder could be proven if the prosecution proves that Martin died as a result of Zimmerman’s child abuse, since Martin was only 17 when he was killed. MORE

poor george is being subjected to a statute that doesn’t even apply to him. If george zimmerman’s attorneys were to actually do their job, there wouldn’t even be a trial.

Why you ask?
Under the Title of the statute there should be an ENACTING CLAUSE! it’s not there, that makes it a PRIVATE CORPORATE COPYRIGHTED STATUTE! It is only applicable to EMPLOYEES of the CORPORATION! that corporation is called the STATE OF FLORIDA, and yes STATE OF FLORIDA is a corporation!
So unless george took an oath of office, the PRIVATE CORPORATE COPYRIGHTED STATUTE IS NOT APPLICABLE!
His attorneys, the judge and the prosecutors AND GEORGE are all under the DELUSION that it is applicable.. unfortunately EVERYONE INCORRECTLY PRESUMES that the STATE has jurisdiction. WITHOUT AN ENACTING CLAUSE the court does NOT have SUBJECT MATTER JURISDICTION!
Even if by some miracle george is found guilty “and the prosecutor/judge collude to make it so” george can AT ANY TIME challenge subject matter jurisdiction AND WIN!
I know, some of you will WITHOUT DOING ANY RESEARCH WHAT SO EVER, claim I don’t know what I’m talking about.. well that’s because you PRESUME what you’ve heard but never verified, is the law. YOU ARE WRONG!
The courts apply the law of PRESUMPTION, ever hear of that?? probably not, because you were to busy playing a video game to know what the law really is! Anyway, when an alleged defendant makes ANY plea in a court, the court PRESUMES that the law is applicable and UNLESS you REBUT THE JURISDICTION BY AN AFFIDAVIT, the presumption stands and YOU AGREE that the court has jurisdiction!
Ok go look it up instead of babbling incoherently at me about that which you do not know!

People get all bent when a cops shoots an unarmed suspect, but when a cops wanna be shoot and unarmed black kid, it’s OK??

How about dropping the charges and stating self defence as was obviously the case. Um what about all the killer cops? Um will they be charged with second degree murder or manslaughter? No.
The best thing that could happen for George is that he gets freed, then given a new identity, but we know that it won’t happen.
