De-FacedBooked Exposed

In the early days of the Internet, connecting to old friends from school started with Classmatesdotcom. It was a great concept, but in order to fully participate, you had to pay for a membership. If the cost was reasonable, more people might have signed up and made the site a success. Eventually, along came Facebook. It’s free and basically wide open to the world. You can post just about anything you want, good or bad.

In theory, it’s a great concept and I really enjoyed re-connecting with old friends. Communism, in theory, was thought to be a good idea, but we all know how corrupt the system eventually became. I don’t believe our government is any different. However, they seemed to be much more efficient with their corruption and greed by perfecting their forked-tongue techniques on the population.

I had been on Facebook for several years and had quite a few contacts. I did not post much over the years. Some vacation pictures and posts about losing my youngest son in 2010. However, in 2013, I made several posts congratulating Snowden for reaching safe haven from our ‘friends that watch over us’ and that ‘socialist sociopath dictator’ that we are all so fond of. During the Xmas holidays, I upgraded my computer and began with a fresh install of Ubuntu. FYI, I have been in the IT industry for 33+ years and avoid Windows like the plague.

About two weeks after upgrading my system, a close friend that rarely ever posted anything, sent me a link for something he posted. I was curious and when I clicked on the link, a pop-up came up saying that I needed to update the add-on for the video player in FireFox. I assumed that it was legit since this was a new OS and I may not have tried using that file type yet. When I applied the update, it automatically took me to YouTube with a broken link. I closed that window and when I returned to my facebook page, oh shite, here was that same link posted in my name with the comments “Ha Ha Ha”! I immediately called my friend on the phone and he was not even on Facebook at the time. When he logged on, it did not appear that he posted anything, but he got the post from me! The next thing you know, another friend appeared to have posted the same link twice!

I immediately sent out a post to everyone telling them not to click on anything I may have sent recently. I also tried to contact Facebook security to inform them that something was really really wrong…….Assholes never responded. I sent out a broadcast message to the world and told them I was closing my account soon and they should too. I deleted everything possible on my page, except for the bogus posting and the warning I sent everyone. A week later, the bogus posting mysteriously disappeared with no response for security. I soon closed my account after that.

I am very concerned with the fact that someone within Facebook could have easily posted something with child porn for example in my name. The government could use that to send you to prison for the rest of your life and you would absolutely have no defense what so ever. This is where the Bovine Excrement-meter gets pegged!

To make things even worse…..I soon noticed that subsequent web pages that I pulled seemed to be taking much longer than usual. Then I noticed in the lower left side of the page, I saw some unusual domain name flash by. Holy Bat Crap……..every page I pulled up was being re-routed through a website in Sweden. The update hi-jacked my Internet settings and was tracking everything! I rebuilt my OS from scratch and restored my data from a previous backup.

I have no doubt that Facebook is in cahoots with those slimebags that claim they are just trying to protect us. Just remember “Those with the power never give it up willingly”.
