Here we come, willing and even paying for the luxury of living in an internment camp.

When tough times come, and they will, who would be the most expendable?

No Brainer! 

Who will be the least productive members of society when resources are scarce?

When researching these communities it is segregation at its finest.

ROUND-UP TIME!

These communities boast private security and gated communities!

The buildings look very attractive!

What a great idea! Herd the people in and lull them into a false sense of security. Keep them happy with various ammenities such as dining and some even boast on-site medical services.

The appeal is to sell people on the idea to not have bothersome children around and be with others sharing the same interests.

Keep us out…But can easily be turned around to keep them in!

Those security guards could just switch roles and become guards and those gates to keep them in. It will not take much effort to find them and dispatched accordingly.

Then who moves in?

In these times, adult children are returning back to their family homes because of enormous college debt that has been accumulated. Rent is so expensive that young people are delaying the formation of their own households and delaying purchases.

Segregation is illegal, whether by race, religion or disability! So what makes age so special to be exempt?

Older people have much to offer in communities, things that other societies value such as wisdom, being the keepers of knowledge of the community and lookouts for younger members when odd events occur.

They know how to survive during very difficult times. They can teach and we can learn. Life experiences that will not be found in any search engine!

Also elderly individuals in communities are cared for by others. They are not abandonned.
