While Terrorism Grows, Obama Still Focuses on Climate Change

There are those who believe that climate change is a myth. I’m not one of those, but I also recognize something that should be very apparent. While it’s important to protect the environment regardless of whether you believe in climate change or not, you must continue to protect your citizens. In the case of President Barack Obama, those citizens are Americans and he’s not looking at the threats through the proper lens.

His most recent exchange was over the fact that you “can’t build a wall” to combat climate change. Again, he’s correct. However, you can build a wall to help stop the drastically easy entry into the United States from people who are at the very least trying to take portions of the economy and at most are trying to take American lives. This is something that seems to be lost on the President.

It should be noted that I’m what many would label a liberal. I support Bernie Sanders. I believe that the environment should be protected. With that said, I’m much more fearful of a radicalized Islamic terrorist killing me or my family than of south Florida getting engulfed by rising sea levels. I am so disappointed that the President that I voted for twice is unwilling to see the imminent danger that is right in front of him.

Mr. President, you must wake up. We may not have time for another President to replace you before the existential threat of the Islamic State comes to take more American lives. Climate change and your silly legacy can wait.
