When the original Christian church became pagan, he took this divine trinity: father, mother and son. The bible most definitely teaches that the soul is immortal and will live forever in one of two places.
Our understanding of death is not an accurate one. We see death as the END. Death cannot result in the END for something that is eternal. The bible defines death as separation from God.
Catholic defines death as separation from Catholicism. That’s a mean to slavery of all humans under their control. If the pope says all the religions are basically the same, it also means that we do not need any form of religion to be liberated. If a soul can not liberate itself from the worldly obsession, that can be construed as death.

Other than that, priests are not more saintly than anyone. There is a tremendous burden on them and many Saints had stated that a lot of priests go to hell.

After Nero’s death in 68 AD, Rome saw a succession of short-lived emperors (Galba, Otho and Vitellius) and a year of civil wars until Vespasian eventually took control in 69 AD. The Roman Empire destabilized so greatly that Tacitus reported: “Many believed the end of the empire was at hand” (Histories 4:5:4)
According to Suetonius, to the surprise of the world, “the empire which for a long time had been unsettled and, as it were, drifting through the usurpation and violent death of three emperors, was at last taken in and given stability by the Flavian family” (Vespasian 1: 1). This may be a reference to the mortal wound on one of the heads of the beast “inflicted by the sword” which was later healed (Rev. 13:3, Rev. 13: 14). Scholar Daniel K. Wong wrote that the “healing of the wound” alludes to the so-called Nero Redivivus legend or the “revival of Nero” myth. A rumor that Nero had just disappeared to Parthia and would one day reappear.
Finally, the readers of Revelation were told to “calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six”
(Rev. 13:18). John did not expect that his readers “who had understanding” to have any difficulty identifying the beast, since they could simply calculate the meaning of this number. “Neron Kaisar” (the Greek rendering, documented by archaeological finds), when transliterated into Hebrew נרון קסר (Nrwn Qsr) had a number of 666. The variant number 616 found in some manuscripts of the Greek text of Revelation may represent the alternative Hebrew spelling נרו קסר
(Nrw Qsr) based on the Latin form “Nero Caesar”. The variant probably existed to keep consistent the meaning of Nero as the beast.
The Greek spelling, “Nerōn Kaisar”, transliterates into Hebrew as נרון קסר or “nrvn qsr”. Adding the corresponding values yields 666
I you ask me, I think one must look at it in its context, the number of the Beast 666, it means Corruption: of ones mind, -ones actions, -ones spirit.

From the word Gnadr is derived “adder,” the name of a species of snake. Gnadr was probably pronounced like “adder” with a nasal aspirate.
The mythology of the Druids contained also a goddess CERIDWEN, whose car was drawn by serpents. It is conjectured that this was Grecian CERES; and not without reason, for the in-creasing intercourse between the British and
Gaulish Druids introduced into the purer religion of the former many of the corruptions ingrafted upon that of the latter by the Greeks and Romans. The Druids of Gaul had among them many divinities corresponding with those of Greece and Rome. They worshipped OGMIUS, (a compound deity between Hercules and Mercury,) and, after him, Apollo, Mars, Jupiter, and Minerva, or deities resembling them 1. Of these they made images; whereas hitherto the only image in the British worship was the great wicker idol, into which they thrust HUMAN VICTIMS designed to be burnt as AN EXPIATORY SACRIFICE for the sins of some chieftain. The wicker idol, though formed in the shape of a man, was perhaps rather a sacrificial ornament than a god; emblematic of the nature of the victims within it. The whole sacrifice was but an ignorant expression of the primeval and universal faith in the ATONEMENT.
