Chocolate Heart Shape Cake
150g Butter (softened)
135g Sugar
3 Eggs
200g Self-raising flour
8 tbsp Milk
1 tsp Vanilla extract
35g Cocoa powder (Valrhona)
some melted chocolate (I used leftover chocolate ganache cream)
Method:
- Preheat oven at 180deg c, grease mould and dust with flour.
- Whisk butter, sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla extract and flour until smooth and well-mixed.
- Divide batter into two portions and mix one with cocoa powder, mix well.
- Then transfer into piping bags. Pipe plain and chocolate batter alternately onto moulds till 3/4 full and bake for about 18-20 minutes or until well risen and springy to touch.
- Transfer to a wire rack and let cool.
- Double-boil some chocolate. Pipe into the hole in each heart-shaped cakes.
