Panda Express Chow Mein Recipe

I was able to try Panda Express for the first time last summer. Although, I felt it wasn’t great Chinese food, it was good. One thing that I tried was the Chow Mein. The Chow Mein had a good flavor to it and went well as a side dish. This recipe is for Panda Express Chow Mein. This Chow Mein consists of noodles mixed with sauce, onions, cabbage, and celery. What I really like about this recipe is that there is a good chance you may have several of the ingredients on hand. Even if you don’t, this recipe is very inexpensive and should not cost a lot to prepare. There is a variety of different noodles you can use for this recipe—chow Mein noodles, thin spaghetti, or even ramen noodles. This recipe makes a great side dish to go with any Chinese meal. Enjoy. Ingredients:
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
ground black pepper (to taste)
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
12 ounces chow Mein noodles (or thin spaghetti)
2/3 cup chopped celery
1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
2 cups chopped cabbage

Cooking Instructions:
Step 1: In a small bowl mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Set aside. Cook chow Mein noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add celery and onion and stir fry for about 2 minutes. Add cabbage and stir-fry for an additional minute.
Step 3: Toss the chow Mein noodles and the soy sauce mixture along with the vegetables over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes until the noodles are heated through.
