Albuquerque, NM – In September of 2016, the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) and the Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) initiated an investigation after a citizen reported Felicia Gomez’s son, a three year old child, to be severely malnourished. Upon completing a Child Abuse Response Team (CART) review, the child was found to have five (5) broken bones in various stages of healing. NMSP conducted its investigation and charged Felicia Gomez with two counts of 1st Degree Felony Child Abuse. Gomez’s criminal history began in 2009 and includes: Possession of Heroin and Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Theft of Credit Cards, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (Felony), Battery Against a Household Member, and a Probation Violation arrest in 2010.
Joel Perez-Arzate has outstanding arrest warrants for Kidnapping (1st Degree), Aggravated Burglary (2nd Degree), Assault to Commit a Violent Felony (3rs degree), Aggravated Assault against a household member (deadly weapon) amongst other felony warrants. Joel Perez-Arzate is a citizen of Mexico but has strong ties to the U.S. and is believed to be in the Farmington Area and must be considered armed and dangerous.
Ariel Apodaca-Ortiz was charged with four counts of Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor in 2006, and fled to Mexico during the investigation and prosecution. After nine years, Apodaca-Ortiz was arrested by San Juan County Sheriff’s office. Ortiz is currently wanted for failure to appear on the same charges. Ortiz poses a risk to society as his alleged victim was a young girl.
Eloy Cisneros is wanted for Aggravated Assault on a Family Member (Strong Arm), two counts of Aggravated Battery on a Household member (Great Bodily Harm), two counts Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, False Imprisonment, and other felony warrants. Cisneros is believed to be in northern New Mexico and continues to elude law enforcement despite his serious charges
