Little did Florida Bobb realised, that her Ordinary Day Can turn into a Life Threatening Nightmare

It was the 19th of May when like any usual day Ms. Bobb went to withdraw £100 from a cash point near Eastgate Street to pay for her house rent. She didn’t realize that some drug induced eyes were staring her all this while. Soon as Ms. Bobb came out of the cash point, she was pushed through the doorway into an alley behind the H2O bar.

It was a 36-year-old drug addict woman, who grabbed Ms. Bobb’s bag and wanted to snatch it. When she resisted her robber, Sarah Heffern; she was warned for being hurt.

“ give me the bag, or I will hurt you,” said Sarah, as quoted by Mrs. Bobb. There was a quick shuffling between the two, but the former managed to snatch the bag from Ms. Bobb, reports said.

“ It was very devastating for me. Both my partner and I are struggling to meet both the ends. The money was for house rent. Now I don’t have enough to pay for a pair of safety footwear that I needed,” the aggrieved was quoted.

Ms. Bobb partner had to borrow some money to pay for house rent, and both are now looking for some extra work hour to repay it.

In the mean, while the city police managed to capture the convict through the CCTV footage near the cash point as well as near her residence in Nettleton road. Sarah is now serving her jail term.

The judiciary found her guilty by evidence as well as confession. “ Sarah wants to get rid of her drug addiction; she wants to. May be the jail time will give her the focus to reshape her life for better” said the defendant’s  attorney Clair Fear.

The judge Michale Cullum sentenced Sarah to a ten-month jail term. The convict was also asked to submit a bail which she failed, leading to Judge Cullum,  extending her sentence to another six days.

Sarah Heffern had been a severe drug addict, and it’s been almost ten years now. Last time she was convicted, the magistrate gave Sarah a chance for drug rehabilitation which she failed to take.

Judge Cullum now believes that Sarah has to make the rehabilitation through the custodial system only, which she acknowledged.

This is not a story of a single drug addict woman, many men, and women, young girls and boys are struggling through this evil on the streets of UK and around the world. The government is doing every bit it can to stop drug trafficking and establishing strict rehabilitation norms.

In the meanwhile, this incident raises the question of safety of lone travelers on the streets of UK. “Does this mean it’s not safe to alone and I have to be accompanied by my partner wherever I go!” Said the aggrieved Ms. Bobb.

It is a social evil that must be counterfeit immediately by the government, social institutions and well as the public alike. Keep an eye on your kids, teach them about drug abuse and impairment.
