It's Jobs, Stupid!

He’s trying his best. But his

best is not good enough.

To the statement “It’s jobs, stupid!,” someone wrote the following:

Ok so it’s jobs.  Here are five major questions.  What type of jobs?  What new product is to be made?  How will the product be made?  Who will buy the product?  Where will the product be made?  Would it not be better to bring all the products back to America that have left.

My response follows:

Any type of jobs that Americans would accept.  Any profitable product—new or old—should be made…and services too.  Anyone who can afford the product and would want the product will buy it.  If products are too costly because of unions, get rid of the unions.  Products should be made in the USA.  Products are made overseas only because companies can make them cheaper in certain countries.

We should put steep tariffs on incoming products.  If other countries would do likewise as a retaliatory measure, that’s fine because the products will stay in the USA to be manufactured, sold, and purchased.  If the costs to manufacture products in the USA are too high, get rid of the unions to eliminate all of the unnecessary costs built into the products.

Workers should have the right to choose or not choose joining a union.  Unions currently operate as totalitarian organizations headed by criminals and goons.  That should not stand in a free country.  I was forced to join a union, which I despised because they did nothing for me except rob me of some of my pay.  Then, they give billions of dollars to the political party that is running our country into the ground.  Get rid of all unions!

Who Can Deal with China?

Someone asked the question: “Which presidential candidate has the most potential for dealing with China?”

My answer follows:

That’s the wrong question.  The right question is, “Which presidential candidate has the right experience to deal with China?”  The right answer for those who have the experience are in the following order of priority: Jon Huntsman, Donald Trump, and John Bolton.  That’s it.  Nobody else, including Obama and all potential democrat candidates, possesses the knowledge and experience to deal effectively with China.

Potential or most potential is too nebulous.  All those who voted for Obama in 2008 felt he had the best potential for being president.  Look what reality produced—a president bereft of knowledge, experience, and potential.  He is a total failure at being an effective president.  The only way to look at the question is “Who currently has a track record dealing with China?”  From that, we can extrapolate who has the best potential to deal with China.

However, being president is not a one-facet job.  Dealing with China is only one of the myriad of abilities that a presidential candidate must possess to demonstrate the right potential.  Dealing with China is not the only important matter of which a presidential candidate must be able to handle.

If you look at the total package, in my opinion, the best potential candidates are (in priority order) John Kasich, Herman Cain, Mitt Romney, Chris Christie, Rick Perry, Sarah Palin, and Michelle Bachmann.  I am not sure whether Donald Trump is a liberal or a conservative to include him in my list.  However, this I know for sure: “No more community organizers—ever!”
