Wrap Dress Sew Along: Day 3 - It's finished!!

Can you believe it! We are almost done. By the end of this post you will be wearing your fabulous new dress for fall!

So let’s get sewing!  First off, I have to say, I tried to do what was suggested in the instructions. I honestly do not like to top stitch on knit. I can never get it to look like I want.  So in my usual custom….I changed it. Don’t stress, I’ll show you how to do it like the original instructions and then tell you what I did instead at the end. That’s the great thing about sewing, you can make it how you like it. I wanted a smooth look, not a top stitched line, although hers did look wonderful. Mine..not so much.

Before we start, let’s get the big picture in our head.  The binding is broke into sections. It will be sewn onto the skirt section and onto the bodice section separately.  The binding on the bodice becomes the ties! So while you are pinning, hopefully you can picture this.

Binding:

*1.First hem one end of the strip, as shown above.
