Treasure Hunting Thursday- Gears... Maybe?

I found these little things in an antique store the last time I was up north.  I don’t really know what they are, but my guess would be that they are part of some kind of gardening tool maybe?  If you know, go ahead & tell me. 

Don’t random rusted old things always catch your eye too?  No?  Well… I thought these could be used as wall art.  I think that with some imagination you could probably turn them into a chandelier, or candle holder as well.  What do you think?

The closest thing I could think of to look for other projects using similar materials for was gears.  These are some really pokey gears, don’t you think?!  Check these out:
