Gnome Week in January is one of my favorite themes.

I love the way each page follows the calendar – with a different craft for every day of the year. You can pick your craft by date, by theme, by flipping through for something that catches your fancy, or by starting on January 1 and working your way through the entire year.

All
the patterns and templates you need to make party decorations, cards,
gift tags, ornaments, cake & cupcake toppers, pincushions, stamps, plush animals and more are included in the book!

The projects are simple and sweet. You don’t need to be a craft expert or have any fancy equipment. As as Sarah says in her introduction, “we’re going old school” with supplies like scissors, paper, glue and felt.

Here are some of my favorite projects from
Craft-A-Day: HeartFelt Card, Mini Robot Cupcake Topper, Mustache
Magnet, Felt Mitten
Ornaments, New Year’s Stick Card and Turtle Pincushion.

This sweet little raccoon gift tag took me five minutes from start to finish. I used the pattern and instructions from Craft-A-Day, but added my own creative flair by using an old dictionary page in place of the grey paper.

Seasoned crafters will find this book chock-full of inspiration. The basic projects provide a springboard for your imagination and creative flourishes.
