I had the pleasure of meeting Mark and hearing him speak
at the SoCal Social in October of this year. He is all at once
charismatic and cool and exudes an unquestionable likeability and
contagious creative vibe that come through in all of his books.
As if the 150 projects that Mark shares in this book were not enough, he also shares new techniques and craft mediums — any one of which can keep a creative person busy for a very long time. Take this technique for example:
In his chapter titled “Glass-terpiece” Mark shares 9 different projects using fused glass. Did you know that you can fuse glass in a microwave? I had no idea. Mind blown! Mark introduces his readers to the Fuseworks Microwave Kiln Kit and shares all his tips and tricks for fusing glass.
My favorite chapter of the book, however, focuses on projects that require no special equipment at all. In fact, all of the crafts in the “It’s in the Bin” section use supplies that you normally throw in the trash or recycling bin. Here….let’s play a little game.
