Chocolate-dipped Marshmallow Cupid’s Arrows

Jet-Puffed Jumbo Heart Marshmallows
White, Pink, or Dark Chocolate
Sprinkles, Disco Dust, or Gold Luster Dust
Baking sheet
Wax or parchment paper
Paper Straws (see resources section below)
Copy paper cut into 1.5″ x 2″ rectangles (you’ll need two per arrow)
Small, sharp scissors
Extra Strength glue stick
Cello bags
Ribbon

Step 1: Add quills to the paper straws by applying glue stick to both pieces of 1.5″ x 2″ copy paper. Set paper straw on top of one piece (on the glue side), 3/4″ of the way up. Cover with second piece of paper (glue side down, so that glue sides are touching). Press evenly into place on sides and around straw. Trim paper to create quill shape. Fringe each side (I snipped 5 times per side).

Step 2: Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Insert paper straws into the marshmallows.

Step 3: Melt chocolate. Dip marshmallows 2/3 of the way into the melted chocolate. Shake off excess. Place back on lined baking sheet to set. If decorating with sprinkles or disco dust, shake on while the chocolate is still wet. If making gold-tipped dark chocolate arrows, you’ll wait until the chocolate has set. Place tray in refrigerator for 15 minutes or until chocolate has completely set.

Step 4: (optional) For gold-tipped dark chocolate arrows, use a soft paint brush to brush gold luster dust on the tip of each arrow.

Step 5: Wrap marshmallow in a cellophane bag and tie off with a coordinating ribbon.
