Refinished Painted White Bedside Table

Since we’re moving soon, I’ve been trying to finish up any lingering projects I’ve had sitting around the house waiting for an opportunity to be completed.  I just don’t want to be bringing things into our new house that aren’t nice & ready to go.  One of the things on my to-do list was painting this bedside table.

This table is my husband’s.  When I originally did these two bedside tables last year, he had said he didn’t want this one painted.  So it ended up regulated to the “storage room”.  About 6 months later, he decided he did want it painted so that he could use it in our bedroom.  That was about 6 months ago… I just hadn’t gotten around to doing it.  But now I have.

This is what it looked like before.  The hardware on the drawer had broke, so the face of it was falling off.  It needed some major lovin’.

Pretty simple little job on this one.  I took off all of the remaining hardware, sanded, primed, then painted it with 3 coats of regular white out of the can Bier paint.  I just used one of their little sample pots, it took the whole thing, but it was just enough.

Then I waxed it, buffed it, bought some new hardware for it & put the whole thing back together.  I think it looks super pretty now don’t you?  It was pretty 80′s looking before, but now it looks more modern & clean.  Can’t wait to have this in our new bedroom!
