CELEBRATIONS: Painted Bride & Groom Wedding Favors

I’ve had this idea for wedding favors in my mind for a few years now but never made them. It wasn’t until recently that I found the right size plastic bride and groom figurines and could barely contain my excitement. I grabbed the pack of tiny cheap poorly painted figurines and threw them into my basket.

I have loads of extra spice jars but for a large wedding, you would need to find an inexpensive source for jars or ask your friends with babies so save their baby food jars. Baby food jars are a nice size for favors.

There’s no mystery or big secret to how to make this project. Whoever was the first creative soul to spray paint a plastic figurine was a genius. Aren’t the little bride & grooms cute? Use some quality permanent glue like E6000 to adhere your figurines to your jar lids. Let dry and then give them 2-3 coats with white spray paint.

Depending on your wedding color scheme you can paint the jar toppers gold, silver or a pastel color. How about several different colors? The sky is the limit.

I’m thrilled I can finally check this project off my list. It was worth the wait to find the perfect little packet of plastic figurines.
