Happy Friday everyone. If you’re here in the United States, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with family and feasting. I’m blessed to have my family here in Los Angeles where we can spend holidays together. We all make two or three dishes and still follow tradition and gather at my parent’s house. How lucky am I?
So on this day after Thanksgiving, let’s give thanks for a wonderful week and maybe do a little shopping. Here’s what I’m high fiving about this week.
Three ounces is the golden rule when you travel and these Travel Mini’s by jane iredale are the perfect little minis to gift the traveler. BeautyPrep™ Minis include BeautyPrep™ Face Cleanser Mini – Infused with micellar water and dual cucumber extracts ($8.50). BeautyPrep™ Face Toner Mini – Refreshing, pH balancing, and pore-refining ($10) and BeautyPrep™ Face Moisturizer Mini – Locks in hydration for smooth makeup application ($18) Sold separately at janeiredale.com
These minis will definitely be in my travel bag for my next business trip. I’ve been testing them out and my face feels unbelievably soft after using this trio.
I tested out this Borghese Fango Ferma Firming Mud for Face and Body and felt like I was at a spa. True confession – I tried to snap some selfies while wearing the mud but they weren’t quite spa-quality so I’m opted not to post them. Forgive me for not sharing my make-up-less self but trust me, it’s better this way. Pictures or not, the mud leaves your skin feeling other worldly. The muds come in a kit or you can buy them separately.
Borghese Fango Introductory Kit: The Fango muds provide mineral nourishment and special absorbing action which rids skin of impurities while hydrating and firming dry, delicate skin. The muds also help firm and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin with Wheat Protein. ($35 at Macy’s and www.Macys.com)
I mentioned this lip gloss a few weeks ago and was thrilled it was back in stock so I could test it out. Arbonne Glossed Over Lip Gloss in 'Cardinal'. It’s a nice sheer medium lip gloss you can wear alone or over a red lipstick. The perfect red holiday lip! $24, www.arbonne.com
What else am I high fiving about? These shoes. Another true confession – I now have three pairs. I had a summery beige pair that I loved so much, I just purchased these silky black ones and a glitter gold pair. Ballet flats by Rocket Dog. I got mine at 6 PM for about $20 a pair.
There you have it friends. It’s been a great week. My new beauty products that I mention above have me smiling. (Note: I’m not wearing the cardinal red lip gloss in this photo) but I’ll be sure to post some photos with my red holiday lips soon. Enjoy the weekend and I’ll see you next week.
