New Madrid Earthquake Zone Comes Alive! (NBC News Video)

As reported by The National Weather Service in Paducah, KY., a 2.6 magnitude earthquake occured near Kevil, Kentucky at 6:35pm CST.
Right now, there are no reports of damage, but witnesses are reporting to WPSD News Channel 6 that the earthquake lasted about a minute and there are reports that it was felt as far away as Brookport, IL.
Could this be the beginning of the great awakening of the New Madrid Earthquake zone? An early warning for the big future event or nothing more than a small quake?
There has also been recent unexplained “booms” that sound like distant thunder or explosions that have been reportedly heard across the tri-state area in the past few weeks. Reports of another unexplained boom was felt and heard Sunday afternoon just before 2:00 pm, about four and a half hours before the 6:35 pm earthquake. These have been associated with activity within the New Madrid fault. Before the big earthquake of 1811 Loud Thunder Sounds of distant thunder and the sound of loud explosions accompanied the earthquakes.
Scientists say it’s only a matter of time before a big earthquake occurs in the New Madrid fault zone. According to FOX 2 St. Louis, Scientists say there’s a 7-10 percent chance of a 7.5 to 7.7 magnitude quake hitting in the next 50-years. To put this in perspective You have a 16% chance of calling a single roll of a six sided die. This is twice as high as the chance of a major quake. With these odds it seems the MSM may be producing a little uncalled for fear to help push the story!

Back in the 1940′s we had an earthquake in Southern, IL. that cracked or busted the walls of almost every house in the area.
With Southern, IL. being in the New Madrid zone and part of it in the Wabash Valley seismic zone, we get use to an occasional rumble.
I felt this quake but I really heard more of a boom than actually feeling it.
Is there any fracking, large scale mining, or anything of that nature going on in the area?
New Madrid Quake yesterday tied to strange booms?
Was they naked when this happened?
I don’t know. Was they?
