Warning: 1 in 5 NYC Garages Are Unsafe (Videos)

This is a 14 March 2024. Cash Jordan walks around NYC and shares some of the recently shutdown parking garages anf the different reasons authorities deemed them unsafe.

A negative trend started in late 2023 of weekly reports about New York City parking garages being shutdown by city authorities due to infrastucture dangers. This trend has continued into 2024, where frequentcy may be less but now includes actual building colapses and even a person killed. 

A new study shows 1 in 5 parking garages in NYC is unsafe, but with many garages being old and in a state of disrepair, what can the city do to protect residents?

The next two videos cover the same issue with collaped parking garages and apartments still in public use. They often have been issued numerous infrastucture violations over time which all threaten a structure collapse event.
