Americans Are Their Own Worst Enemy

Dr. Ron Paul, an OB/GYN delivered over 4000 babies and amassed between $2.3 million to $3 million.  He has never engaged in insider trading nor used his office for personal gain.  There is a big difference between Ron Paul’s modest wealth and the Wall Street type wealth of Mitt Romney whose campaign disclosures show he is worth

Much of Dr. Paul’s wealth has come from his practice as a doctor and his books that have been best sellers dealing with issues of liberty, economics, banking and the Federal Reserve.  Many of his books are free on the internet in PDF format at the Mises Institute.  Dr. Paul has stated that his ideas and philosophy far outweigh his personal importance or ambition to be president and are the result of a lifetime of study from many academic disciplines as diverse as economics and religion to history and philosophy.

 Ron Paul has constantly tried to explain to people that inflation and a debt-based monetary system is not the result of unknown and inevitable forces in the universe making things cost more, but the result of decisions made by the financial elite that destroys the middle class, hits the poor the hardest and discourages saving and investment.  This has been Dr. Paul’s untiring message for 30 years and one need only to Google “Ron Paul debates Partee” to see his message has not changed in 30 years as he debated and explained what was inevitable all the way back in this 1983 debate that sounds like exactly like Ron Paul speaking yesterday.

Ron Paul’s predictions about banking, liberty economics and war have been prophetic and obtained from a lifetime of studying the insights of the greatest economists and thinkers in history.  In any argument Dr. Paul is always on the side of individual liberty, democracy, private property and peace.

Year after year we continue to elect those tied to corporations whether it be medical and banking such as Newt Gingrich, a person worth $250 million such as Mitt Romney, or defense establishment and oil corporation types like Dick Cheney and George Bush.  Americans were even head-over-heels in love with Herman Cain who was a Federal Reserve banker that supported the bailouts and dismisses Ron Paul’s call for an audit of the Federal Reserve which has since shown that trillions of dollars were given to European banks.  Time after time we listen to these politicians who have the media in their pocket and use it to manipulate, misinform, propagandize, devise pretended disputes and formulate meaningless divisive issues. 

If anyone else other than Ron Paul wins, rest assured we will be on the same bus heading for the same cliff as Gingrich, Romney, Santorum and Bachmann have all supported taking whatever steps necessary to deny Iran a nuclear program even though it has offered to turn over its uranium to third parties, namely Brazil and Turkey, for enrichment for medical and energy purposes.

George Carlin nailed it on the head when he said Americans stupidly continue to elect rich people who don’t care about them.  Americans are the most gullible people on the planet, even worse than Native Americans who took the U.S. government at its word to not starve and slaughter them.  George Carlin spells out this American tragedy in a very contemptuous bit for which Americans earned every iota of his comedic disdain.  So, go ahead and vote for Romney or Gingrich and then sit back in remorse and remember how you were your own worst enemy.  You will have done to yourself something worse that any terrorist could ever have done to the nation.  If you vote for the status quo you will assuredly get what you deserve.  What about me?  I will sit back and watch the train wreck and console myself in the adage that says, “Life is a tragedy to those who feel and a comedy to those who think.”
