O’Reilly: Billy May have Come Up Short on President Reagan.

O’Reilly’s last book in the killing series was Killing Reagan. It is a good read but Billy and Dugard always seem to add some kind of controversy to sell books. In this case was President Reagan already suffering from Alzheimer’s before he left office. And of course the liberals swear by it, but they don’t seem to need facts to do so.

O’Reilly was a liberal at one time and sometimes comes to conclusions not based on facts but emotion and doesn’t quite do the homework necessary. He claims to double check or double proof facts but that is not always true on all the alleged facts in the book. And he doesn’t want to take the word of people that praise Reagan only people who don’t praise him. You would think a smart person would want both!

That is a hard to understand. The Factor has liars on it on a daily basis. Just the other day Juan Williams liked the Boma speech on ISIL (rest of world ISIS). ISIL by the way may be used to include the area occupied by Israel. O’Reilly joked around that Juan was the only one in America who liked the speech.

The book overall is great to obtain an understanding of the Reagans. And once President Reagan turned anti-communist there was no stopping him.

But there was nothing about President Reagan dropping bombs on Gaddafi. Now you see that is how you scare the bejesus out of a terrorist.  That would have been an interesting read.

But back to the demise of President Reagan due to the Hinckley bullet. The  Bullet struck in March 1981. President Reagan left office in  Jan 1989. He was seen by an army of doctors and no one ever entertained the thought that he had the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

It was not established until August 1994 that he was diagnosed as such. And Billy also writes about a fall from a horse or better stated thrown from a bucking bronco, Sept 8, 1989. The doctors thought he was fine, but a Mayo doctor at his annual physical diagnosed that a blood vessel was bleeding in his brain causing a clotting and pressure on President Reagan’s brain.  It was not repaired for 2 months after the accident.

And today we hear so much about concussions. The NFL is so scared, that they won’t let great players onto the field if they are concussion prone. So basically former President Reagan had a concussion that caused severe damage to his brain in 1989. And he was first diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 1994. If anything caused the onset it would be the concussion. But that is not the issue here, the issue is was President Reagan not all there while he was president. And the liberals will give a vote of yes. If you don’t believe in communism you must be nuts. Actually President Reagan taught that communism is insanity. You imagine things happening that never do. But you keep trying the same things and expect a different result.

Then Billy refers to 4 guys in 1987 having a cabinet meeting to see if President Reagan was all there. Ronnie Jr. was also present. And it appears that President Reagan passed the test. Really? Were any of these clowns physicians. It would only be a physician who could make that diagnosis. Maybe some were lawyers. But if there was a way to get President Reagan out of office they would have jumped on it. And O’Reilly wants you to think that President H. W. Bush knew nothing about it. He may have not wanted any part of it, but he must have known about the alleged inquiry.

There are lots of innuendo’s built into the story lines that are intended to direct the reader. I would imagine on important facts that O’Reilly and Co. did their due diligence sometimes with a closed mind, but on some of the stories it appears to be more fiction or gossip, rather than fact.  It is as though the authors wanted to lead the reader to the same conclusions without substantiated facts and evidence.  I think we call that sublimation.

The statement about good days and bad days who said it. What staff members and what were they referring to. Aches and pains. Tone level? How much coffee he drank that day? And were any of these “Staff members” physicians?

Acting skills got him through it? Really! Is there any basis for this statement! Some would say his whole persona was based on his acting skills. Or was it his persona that was so likeable that made him a great actor.

Some good points were that President Reagan kicked Robert Kennedy’s butt in a debate. Not something spoken about in liberal circles.

Some parts in the book deal with other presidents. Some contained BS about President Nixon but it makes for a great story. My guess is that Billy didn’t like Thatcher or Nixon.

It was interesting to see how liberal and pro-communists the movie media were way back then. And how they were quick to blackball folks who didn’t drink the same Kool-Aid.

There was a fair amount of information about Hinckley. But even though he was “tested” by a psychiatrist, Dr. Hopper sensed he was normal and set him free. And his parents obliged even though his siblings thought he should be locked up. My guess is the Doc was a liberal and just assumed Hinckley was just going though an identity crisis. My guess is, he never asked him about Foster and his obsession to kill someone to impress her. If he had, he might have had him committed. But just maybe Hinckley  played the Doc. But if not for Hinckley, we wouldn’t be reading this book.

I just hope when O’Reilly writes about Clinton, he spends as much time on his sexcapades.

It is a great book overall, because it will make you think. Some argue that they have a greater respect for President Reagan after reading the book. I can only imagine a liberal saying now I know why Reagan was so stupid, or as O’Reilly wrote: Phony and a loon.

But if you didn’t know President Reagan was something special before you read the book, I find it hard to believe that the book will make a difference.
But let me close on this one important fact. Liberals imagine their success. Even when it is not there they make it up or blame it on someone else if it isn’t there. Like Ted Kennedy’s No Child Left Behind that he authored, it wasn’t his fault that it was a failure, they didn’t fund it enough, that is why it failed. Typical liberal thinks:  Keep throwing other people’s money at it until we can come up with another way to waste taxpayer money!

Now President Reagan was a success, because he believed in life and success and he wanted to share it with his fellow (wo)man. He understood at an early age that communism is a failure. Your duty is to start using the part of the brain(left side) that can see the world as it is, And vote for folks that can make your life better, not for folks like Obama who can only imagine hope and change, but can only lie about their lack of results!
