Zero Debt Equals True Freedom

I write lots of articles. I don’t get paid for them, and I have no problem with that. But if I had debt, it might bother me. I live humbly, but I have no debt. And that my friends, is true freedom. I know, because I used to have debt. 

I rented for a long time. It drove me crazy, paying each month, but not owning. Felt like a waste to me. Then I purchased a house from a lady and we set up what they call a land contract through a title company. As we made the payments, our equity grew, and we ended up selling the house and coming out with a little over $20 grand in cash. With this, I bought a trailer in a park, because we were moving to a new area, and didn’t want to buy a piece of land before we knew if we liked the area. Also, I’ve fixed the trailer up and now it’s more valuable than what we paid for it. So, now we like the area, and are working on buying a property to homestead. 

I buy stuff at yard sales, storage auctions, etc, and sell it on online and locally. I love it. My wife works as a waitress, which she enjoys and makes good money. We have a motorhome and our dream is to travel the country seeing the sights and living off buying and selling and doing odd jobs. 

That’s why I watch lots of videos of tiny homes, and people living in vans full time. It feels like adventure to me. I do love to garden though, so having a piece of land to develop is very important to me, but living like this lovely couple seems like a great time for a spell.

This is the best solar system I’ve seen in a van, and I’ve built many solar systems over my life as a Master Electrician.

When we get our property, I want to start v-logging like these folks, because watching these videos, I’ve learned so much from them. What a great education tool. So I want to pass our knowledge on too.
