How Anti-White Rhetoric Is Fueling White Nationalism

It is and it is  shame.

Look, people know that political correctness is a sham. It obviously is. Everyone knows it. They can’t say it. But the KNOW it. But the people pushing PC, even though they themselves probably know that pseudoscientific construct is largely nonsense, cling to PC because it furthers their power. THEY see themselves as a member of a tribe and they think everyone should see themselves as a tribe, including white people.

This is idiotic. There is no race. There is ethnicity, but someone, please define “race” for me. One can’t. The truth is were are all mixes of all sorts of people. I am Irish, and Italian, and God only know what else. My last name is Sorrentino but most of my ancestors came from places other than Sorrento. This is the case for most of us.

I am an American. This identification is not defined by color or religion. It is defined by the ideals of the American Revolution, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness. Ideals that apply equally to all people. And it is LIBERTY that defines an American, not tribe, some antiquated vestige of the old world. But some people refuse to see beyond race and they indulge in Neo-racism, and that in many respects is what political correctness is all about. An excuse to be racist, sexist, classist, with the cover of being anti-racist, anti-sexist, and anti-classist.

These social justice warriors basically want the bring everyone down into the tribal warfare mire, because they are committed to fantasy of “privilege theory” and the like. It it their means to power. Unfortunately in embracing this very divisive ideology they are radicalizing some people who now identify as being “white.” That is dangerous, very very dangerous, for our society.

Pretty much everyone knows the the SJWs are out to lunch intellectually. Pretty much everyone knows that they aren’t interested in “justice”, they are interested in power. Some of the people who see this are hot heads who think “being white” is something to hold to as the other tribes cling to being “black” or whatever. If this were to happen on a large scale it would be an absolute tragedy as “black” folks constitute a small minority in this country, roughly 13.1%. Hispanic people, many of whom identify as “white” constitute another 17% or so. People of “Asian” decent constitute perhaps another 4-5%. So somewhere between 65%-75% of the USA is so called “white”. Radicalizing a bunch of young “white” hotheads is not smart. Again, it would be a tragedy.

The key is to transcend “race” to the degree possible. This is the only way forward really. We must tolerate our ethnic differences and we must make sure that the rule of law applies to everyone as equally as possible. In this environment we must then make it easy for people to do business with each other. People who do business with each other tend to be peaceful. And peace, liberty, and the rule of law are laudable goals.

If the PC brigades and the Social Justice Warriors continue down their foolish road, pushing their antiquated social Marxist worldview peace, their tribalism, liberty, and the rule of law could be hurt.

And sadly this is just what some of the purveyors of political correctness want. I however refuse to go along.

What is new is the direct indictment of white people as a race. This happened through a strange rhetorical transformation over the past few years. At first, “white men are our greatest threat” postings tended to be ironic, a way of putting the racist shoe on the other foot. They were meant to show that blaming an entire race for the harmful actions of a few individuals is senseless.

Then the tenor changed. What started as irony turned into an actual belief that white people, specifically white men, are more dangerous and immoral than any other people. Loosely backed up by historical inequities and disparities in mass shootings, this position has begun to take a serious foothold.

Strikingly, this shift in rhetoric undermines what was once the core of anti-racist efforts. Treating people equally has given way to making all of us ambassadors for our race. This is a classic theme in critical race theory, that people of color carry a burden of representation that white people do not. But foisting the baggage of representation onto white people doesn’t solve that problem. It makes it worse.
