“Conservatives” are supposed to be for smaller government. “Conservatives” are supposed to be for federalism. Sessions is for neither apparently and that, in this day and age, should not be.

From a political perspective this is a flat out stupid move. Many people have been tacitly supporting this president with the understanding that though Trump may not be perfect, or even close to perfect, his list has generally been to reduce regulation and taxes, which is sorely needed in America. This sort of heavy handed stuff from the DOJ is nuts. Is there nothing else Sessions can focus his attention on? What’s next? Does Sessions want to reinstitute the 18th Amendment?

This is ridiculous and President Trump should do something about it. If he doesn’t the president is going to lose a lot of quiet support.
