Chasing The Dream

The world has always been cruel and hostile. Today is no different. Marked by greed and apathy the ruling class has kept the impoverished masses from escaping so much misery that has been placed upon them. The United States in particular is where millions keep searching but really never finding the path toward a better quality of life. With no forethought for future generations the existing power structures have kept the heavy hand of injustices pressing down on our society.

Today the weight of the world balances on the shoulders of people trapped in cycles of diminished opportunities. The American public continue to be powerless in the wicked games our politicians have been plying ever since the 1970′s. The public have long since lost their voices to the entrenched governmental bureaucracy. The reverse Robin Hood mentality dominates the legislation that has rendered countless millions sliding deeper into the abyss of poverty and homelessness.

The shanty towns reminiscent of the Great Depression are familiar sights. For a nation that use to pride itself as being charitable we have let this nation shrink from the responsibility to heal the wounds of our economy. Today our own government keeps failing to find the way so that all will be able to climb up the ladder of upward mobility toward a better tomorrow.  It is as though the powers that be continue to be too blind to see the harsh realities millions keep facing day in and day out.

For the 1% those fortunate few it is just another day in paradise for they are the ones pulling the purse strings of the powers that be in government. For those who are keenly aware of what is happening continue to be powerless to stem the tide of deteriorating circumstances befalling millions. Is it any wonder then the great divide between the haves and the have nots continue to pull this nation apart. Apart by governmental policies that keeps the American public chasing the now ever elusive American Dream.

It is as though the Unted States has lost its ability to foster a unity of purpose for the betterment of all. After all we are the conductor in orchestrating global resistance to vastly improve the quality of life for all life forms, contrary to what we are being led to believe. Until we the public realize that the United States really isn’t united at all the future for generations to come will still be filled with hopelessness and despair.
