The Weekend Vigilante

Hello again from beautiful Acapulco,

I have to tell you, I’ve never been happier in my life.  Not even close.  It’s not just one thing that has me feeling so happy but the combination of dozens of things.

First, I’ve been back in Acapulco for a few weeks now and feel so much more relaxed… and better yet, I will still likely be here for another month or so.  Already I am feeling and looking great from a combination of the healthy fresh food, the daily free vitamin D injections from the sun and the humid weather de-ages my skin by 10-20 years whenever I arrive.  I have a beautiful, fun, anarcho-capitalist family that lives completely untraditionally.  My Mexican wife is a born anarcho-capitalist as well and so we are on the same page when it comes to government, public education and most other subjects… plus she’s entrepreneurial like me.  She currently oversees our condos (AcaCondos) and hotel (LTGPS) and she has been bothering me lately saying she wants to open a restaurant or bar.  As well, she manages everything to do with our life including managing our very affordable cook, maid, driver and other staff (at a cost of less than $10/day each) and takes great care of the kids to leave me with as much time as possible to work on my passion.

And I have been.  I work from the moment I awaken until the moment I sleep on TDV and other freedom-minded enterprises such as Anarchast with breaks in between to play with the kids or watch some playoff hockey on my 65″ Samsung LED in my outdoor living room on the beach in Acapulco.  My Mexican friends who come over ask “why do they fight so much” in hockey.  They just don’t understand… why would you fight when you live on the beach in the tropics and drink and dance every day.  I tell them, none of those guys comes from a place where they live on the beach and drink and dance every day!  A lot of them are from some obscure Canadian small town where it is so cold, so oppressive and devoid of happiness that fighting just seems like the best use of your time.

I’ve got my two chihuahuas, Luci and Bruce Lee, and I take them for a walk/run every day in the hills around where we live (see a video here).  I snapped a photo of our neighborhood just because it is so interesting.  There is no zoning laws here, or any laws really, and it results in very interesting and beautiful neighborhoods.

Homes are built on top of other homes… every single one different from the next… many in vibrant colors such as this orange house to the left.  The culture here is one of minding your own business.  The neighbor painted their house orange?  Cool.  Try that in the US and watch the commotion.  Not to mention all those zoning laws, property taxes and other rules and regulations cause homelessness.  There are almost no homeless people on Earth except in places like the west.  Bleeding heart statist liberals will show their compassion by making home ownership so onerous with rules to protect people that many won’t be able to afford it.  And right wing statist conservatives hate anyone but themselves so much that they’ll also try to ensure that people they don’t like also can’t get homes by finding things those people like (like blacks with marijuana) and making it illegal so they can legally kidnap them and throw them in cages.  In the US, anyway.  They don’t do any of that here in the last free place in North America.

I even showed the photo and video above to a few American friends and the first thing they pointed out was that cars were often parked “the wrong way” on the street… even asking me why they don’t get ticketed or towed!  It’s so hard to explain to slaves.  There are no rules here.  Cops aren’t even allowed in the area where I live.  You just park.  This is freedom.  Americans are always the last to recognize it.

I’ve got two new things that have added to my happiness as well lately.  First, when I was at Doug’s Gultch in Cafayate, a Swiss doctor who is a TDV subscriber passed me a packet at one of the parties.  I asked him what it was.  He said, “Snus”.  I’d never heard of it but I’ll try anything once.  In fact, I make a point of trying everything once.  There is nothing more ridiculous than a person who has never tried something, say like marijuana, who says they don’t like marijuana.  How would you know unless you’ve tried??  This is your first hint to stop talking to that kind of person!  Irrational, illogical beliefs based on hearsay and cultural norms.  Adios!

But, I digress.  Back to the snus.  My Swiss doctor tells me it is the latest great thing out of Sweden.  It is similar to chewing tobacco but comes in little packets you place against your gums and don’t need to spit out.  It is like snuff, but it is moist and in a packet.  Use of snus has become increasingly popular in several countries, but Sweden has the highest consumption. The habit is especially gaining popularity in adolescents and women.1  At least 23% of Swedish men used snus in 2002.  The way they make the snus and studies done on it seem to indicate very little connection to cancer.

What it did for me is give me some energy and make the room feel like it was spinning.  It was great.  So, I have now given up electronic cigarettes and am on the snus… until further notice.  For those who do smoke but who wish to either give it up or have other options for nicotine injections without having to go stand outside like a slave, look into snus.  For a great website with lots of types and flavors of Snus, go here: http://www.northerner.com.

My other new fun thing in my life is a scooter.  I’ve always loved scooters.  I used to have a motorcycle but I like the ease and compactness of a scooter.  You just hop on and go.

The last time I really owned a scooter was in Thailand where I’d fly around Phuket and Bangkok from bar to bar usually with one or two girls on back.  Things have changed since then.  I’m now a family man, but having a scooter again has reminded me how much I love them.  Especially here in Acapulco.  My regular routine is to hit Starbucks by day, then off to a lounge in the early evening for a couple glasses of white wine to help “punch up” my blog posts, after which I walk outside nicely buzzed from the wine, throw on the sunglasses, no helmet, no license, no registration, no plates, pop in a snus, punch up AC/DC on my iphone and adjust my noise cancelling headphones which almost nearly negates the sound of the traffic and the scooter so that I feel like I am front row at the most intimate AC/DC concert of all time in my own little isolation tank.

I then fly down the sidewalk… no laws, jump off the curb into traffic, not stopping for traffic signals, swerving in and out of traffic.  Every now and then is the scourge of a US Government funded Mexican Government “narco” checkpoint.  Sometimes they motion me to stop… I just disregard and keep going.  Never had a problem.

The other night I even stopped in at a 24 hour Oxxo to buy some Scotch and kind-of stumbled as I got off the scooter, obviously buzzed.  A cop was standing nearby.  He laughed and waved.

I wrote some of the above on my personal Facebook page and had a few friends state that I should wear a helmet… or be more careful.  They just don’t get it.  I want to do what feels right and natural… and free, for me.  If I ride tonight and while riding I feel a sensation most people have never felt, being free, and then I die, I will have died happy.  If I get forced to wear a helmet, forced through breathalyzing checkpoints, stopped because I don’t have the proper license or tag, I would rather be dead.  There are lots of head on collisions that happen in places like the US.  It’s often a slave who has had enough.

Down here, quite often TDV readers come into town to hang out and we’ll go for dinner or drinks.  There a few in town right now including David Giessel, the host of Patriot’s Lament radio program in Fairbanks, Alaska.  Hanging out with liberty minded people on the beach in paradise… good times.

All this, plus many more things, have me feeling as happy as I’ve ever felt.  I have found my own little freedom zone.  No taxes, no laws, no rules, no regulations, no zoning laws, no nosy neighbors.  And my “work” is mostly fighting oppression and statism and helping people find ways to free themselves.  It’s a great feeling!

RESCUED BY HOMELAND SECURITY

Meanwhile, in the slave states to the north we’ve come across a number of pictures of the new vehicles Homeland Security is rolling out for your protection and for your rescue!

Here is another, being transported in via train:

Lots of serious rescuing must be on the way!

GETTING YOUR GOLD OUT OF DODGE

Another thing that has made me happy lately has been releasing the Getting Your Gold Out Of Dodge report.  We’ve already had tremendous feedback from people thanking us for giving them access to info that just isn’t available anywhere… certainly not from your government, propaganda mainstream media or your government registered and trained financial advisor.

I truly feel this is one of the most important reports we’ve written to give you all the info you need to know about internationalizing your precious metals to protect against your own governments confiscation or taxation… or just to have it nearby yourself if you expatriate.  And the great thing is that it is a living document that we will constantly update.  By buying the report or by subscribing to TDV or the TDV Golden Trader (TDVGT) and receiving the report free, you will always be as up-to-date as possible with the latest info on keeping your gold and silver safe and out of the hands of your overlords, the group of sociopaths and bureaucrats that claim to own you, your government.

If you have bought Getting Your Gold Out Of Dodge or receive it via your subscription to TDV or TDVGT, please tell all your friends and family about it.  The more people who are aware of this info the more who will survive the coming fiat currency collapse and the better off we all will be.  Share TDV content through social channels like our Facebook page or our Twitter page.  Use the freedom of the internet while it is still free.

PHOTOS OF THE WEEK

There were two photos this week that particularly touched me.

The first, unfortunately, comes about as the result of theft.  However, we can still enjoy this photo from NASA despite their nefarious ways of taking your money without your consent to pay for their operations.

This is a photo of Jupiter’s moon Io.  The most volcanic body in the Solar System, Io (usually pronounced “EYE-oh”) is 3,600 kilometers in diameter, about the size of planet Earth’s single large natural satellite. Gliding past Jupiter at the turn of the millennium, the Cassini spacecraft captured this awe inspiring view of active Io with the largest gas giant as a backdrop, offering a stunning demonstration of the ruling planet’s relative size.

What do I take from this photo?  To me it shows how beautiful not only we are… and the world, but the entire universe.  And, it shows how insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things.  But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t fight for our freedom while we’re here on our own space rock.  I know of nothing else more important to fight for.

The next photo is much more Earthly but beautiful in its own way.  This photo shows the beauty, energy and light that can occur even in the most barren, resource-less pieces of land on Earth.  This photo of one of my most favorite cities on Earth, Hong Kong, shows what can happen when small outbreaks of freedom are allowed to occur.  Like the photo of my Acapulco neighborhood it is beautiful BECAUSE of its chaotic nature in which it was allowed to be built not despite it.

CONCLUSION

That’s all for this week.  Wherever you are, even if you are not in beautiful Acapulco, Hong Kong or with a personal view of Io, I hope you are enjoying yourself.  And if you aren’t, I hope you have the opportunity to change your position in life.  To paraphrase a great old Canadian based band, we aren’t here for a long time… so have a good time!

Have a great weekend!
