With No Return or Profit For Investors War As a Business Is Simply Losing Too Much Money to Continue

War is a very, very costly investment – perhaps even a fraudulent one – paid for by the American people with no return to them but higher taxes and TSA contempt from those who do make money out ot it .

Rome did not push its empire further into Germany because of any superior military resistance, but because “the cost of conquest exceeded the value of extractable German resources”… the ‘loot’ could not cover the costs.

By waging continuous war, “Washington’s empire extracts resources from the American people” rather than from any of its ‘enemies, (least of all Terrorists” who have none) for the benefit of the few powerful interest groups that rule America…”

The total projected US military spending for 2012 is close to $1.400 trillion, which pays the salaries, training, and health care of all uniformed and civilian, mercenary and defense industry personnel; maintains arms, equipment and facilities (including vast ‘boneyards of functional but ‘obsolete’ and unused aircraft and ships); funds operations and develops and buys new equipment.

For almost no Return On the Assets Managed (ROAM Return) at all!

In the language of capitalism, that is a seriously badly losing business.

And the major shareholders, American taxpayers who invest trillions of dollars in the business, stand by while a small group of their ‘trusted leaders’ and employers take massive profits on their money leaving no return at all except bogus promises of ‘security’ and loss of Constitutional Liberties.

“After eight years of war and attempted occupation of Iraq, all Washington has for its efforts is several trillion dollars of additional debt…” (now carried by the American people’s grandchildren) but no Iraqi oil, no resources, no ‘loot’.

After ten years of (a) trillion dollar struggle against the Taliban in Afghanistan, Washington has nothing to show for it except possibly some part of an ancient drug racket.

War has raised the national debt to completely unsustainable levels and the American people, WHILE PAYING FOR IT, have seen no benefits from it, in fact the opposite – just look around at the ‘foreclosed’ signs and empty trading premises.

No riches, no bread and circuses, nothing at all flows to American investors in Washington’s wars.

So what is it all about?

The Washington empire extracts resources from the American people for the benefit of the few powerful interest groups that rule America. Period.

In the New Empire, success at war – ‘winning’ – no longer matters. The extraction – the theft – takes place by being at war and staying at war. Huge sums of American taxpayers’ money have flowed into the privately-owned, for-profit American armaments industries and huge amounts of power into Homeland Security.

The military-industrial complex , Wall Street, agri-business and powerful foreign interests use the government to extract resources from Americans to serve their profits and power. The US Constitution has been ‘extracted’ in the interests of the Security State, and Americans’ incomes have been redirected to the pockets of the 1 percent.

Millions of innocent people have been bombed and murdered and their economies and infrastructure ruined in the name of humanity and democracy, but not in order to extract any resources from them and certainly not for any ‘peace’ now or in any forseeable future.

When will the American people say, “ENOUGH!”
