Hank Williams Jr. Rips ‘Muslim’ Obama During Anti-Gay Rant

Here he goes again. Hank Williams Jr. went on yet another anti-Obama tirade, this one at the Stockyards Music Festival in Texas over the weekend. The country singer’s vitriolic, hate-fueled rant was focused on the president and homosexuals.

“We’ve got a Muslim for a president who hates cowboys, hates cowgirls, hates fishing, hates farming, loves gays, and we hate him,” Williams said as the crowd voiced its support with cheers, according to reports.

The 63-year-old singer began his anti-gay commentary a few songs earlier, mocking “queer guitar pickers” in the middle of “All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down” before moving on to his next target: Liberal politicians, who he told to “move to Mexico” at the end of “We Don’t Apologize For America.”

Williams released that straw man anthem in wake of October’s kerfuffle in which he compared President Obama to Adolph Hitler on Fox & Friends. ESPN responded by yanking “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight” off Monday Night Football, and on Sunday, Williams added a line in the new song “Keep the Change” telling ESPN to take a hike.

His mix of redneck politics and music has long been a big part of his appeal to some fans, like the guy who kept waving a Confederate flag in front of the stage.

Naturally, actor Alec Baldwin took to Twitter after news of the remarks hit the Internet to bash Williams.

I think we need to call Hank Williams Jr what he is….A broken-down, senile, racist coot.

This is nothing unusual for Baldwin, who has revealed quite an affinity for taking on the right. A few days ago, the actor revealed why on—what else—Twitter.
