Unburdened by the Constitutional requirement to obtain a search warrant, those nice people at the National Security Agency (NSA) have teamed with Apple, Google and Microsoft to take time out of their busy day to capture all your party pictures from college, intimate letters with your lover and financial activities of your business in order to build a “permanent file” for leverage against you at a later date.
These are just the latest depressing revelations about the rise of the military-industrial complex from whistleblower/traitor Edward Snowden as he accepted political asylum in Russia today.
Snowden’s latest bombshell, via Glenn Greenwald at the UK Guardian, is the outing of the NSA’s XKeyscore software that is vacuuming up “nearly everything a typical user does on the internet.” The top secret program allows civilian contractors in the U.S. to troll vast databases containing emails, online chats and the browsing histories of millions of individuals around the world.

Snowden should be hailed a hero……he is telling the people of the world they are being spied on by the US goverment and that is where the real crime is.

When is Snowden going to tell us something that hasn’t been on the internet for a decade or more? Until he does, I’ll believe he is fake.
I believe he’s just there to make all the spying normal. Since the powers that be know that the people won’t do anything about it, as usual. People complain but eventually accept their fate, as sad is it is.
I do believe the agreement with Russia and Snowdens asylum is that he is not to leak anything else during his stay inside of Russia. I would say it’s a good bet that you won’t hear anything from him directly in the near future. Not from him.
The US military has already shown us the do not follow military law or federal law! They murder and rape with no problem.

Just like they murdered Michael Hastings, a great guy, an excellent reporter. I fear the effect and actions of the NSA data collection, started more than ten years ago, now. The danger is of course perfect strangers are analyising content of emails, of people who they have never met, don’t know the histories of, and who are never going to know people by data left on computers in full. And the actions thereafter? Imagine what would happen to young people who in their zeal to do what is right an make an impression in the world, being hurt by this, because that’s what I can see about to happen if it hasn’t already. The word ‘labelled’, or is it ‘libelled’? For life might just be the end result. If governments decided to get more dictatorial, and domineering? Some will call this fascism. Some will call this totalitarianism. But, these are big labels…The problem I have, and it’s been there since the start, is one persons ideals are not necessarily everyones.
