The Weekend Vigilante February 8, 2014

Hello from Rio Hato, Panama,

I´m not sure I’ve ever been so exhausted but so stimulated at the same time.  It has been a phenomenal week here at at the first ever TDV Wealth Management Crisis Conference.  The funny part is that I am so exhausted despite being totally catered to the entire week. I really had to just show up and be involved in the conversation.

As promised the entire week was a totally VIP catered event.  I didn’t even know where I should be or when but the great people managing the event had everything organized so that I would just have one of the beautiful girls at the event approach me and tell me that our next 5 star lunch, dinner or party was ready when we were and shuttled us around.

It was still exhausting, however.  It was nearly non-stop talks, meetings, gourmet meals, endless glasses of wine or scotch and an incredibly interesting group of people.

The one thing I heard across the board was how we had such a diverse group of people… but all shared the same perspective on the world.  As example, there was a young couple from Ecuador (an American who expatriated there and married an Ecuadoran girl), a doctor and his wife from the Midwest, a young man from Europe (an American currently living in Amsterdam) and a woman from Maryland… just to name a few.  The Ecuadorans looked like hippies, him with a long beard and they are currently building a yoga studio in Guyaquil… the doctor and his wife looked like fairly typical Americans from the midwest, the young man who lives in Amsterdam looks like a surfer and the woman from Maryland looked like a younger, single “soccer mom”.

Yet, when they and numerous others got together each day and evening they all had much more in common than you would ever imagine.  They all saw the state of the world through the same frame of reference and the conversations were incredibly interesting and informative.

Then, on top of all that, we had all the speakers/presenters/experts affiliated with TDV Wealth Management.  Michael Ross, a 73 year old man who is really the brains behind the solutions he has created (and initially created for himself and his family) was the first to be there in the morning and one of the last to leave at night (usually from his villa) outlasting even the youngest of people at the event.  And, Jim Karger, a regular writer here at TDV… and a true legal expert surprised even me with his insights into things like FATCA (which we will be publishing in our subscription newsletter over the coming weeks).  But, even more than that, you could see his passion as he spoke.  He is angry… very angry… with what the US government has done to his place of birth and what they continue to do around the world and gave incredible insights into not only what they are doing but how to remove yourself and your assets from the risks the US government poses.

It was an incredible event and every attendee told us of how worthwhile and enjoyable it all was.  Most walked out with a number of new, important friends and connections and nearly all had not only a roadmap on moving forward but had already started moving forward.

SITUATION IS HOPELESS, BUT NOT SERIOUS

My role at the conference was limited… I only had one major presentation and I even kept that short as I was more interested in hearing from the experts than hearing my old spiel on how bad everything is getting and going to be.

However, one interesting thing did happen.  At the cocktail party prior to the conference I met a woman who seemed to be in an outright panic.  She had her notebook and dozens of pressing questions and seemed almost frozen in fear.

I spent a good part of an hour trying to calm her down… her fears about the safety and security of herself and her family in the US are well grounded… but I told her, “It’s serious, but not hopeless”.

That is an actual twist on a saying of my mentor, Doug Casey, who likes to quote the name of the movie from 1965, the “Situation (is) Hopeless, But Not Serious”.  His point, when he says it, is that it is hopeless… but not necessarily serious.  In other words, to paraphrase, things do look and are hopeless (we are all dead in the end, to quote Keynes) but it shouldn’t be taken that seriously… or, to say, don’t worry, be happy.  We can’t change the world so enjoy yourself while Rome burns.

I think I disagree, however.  I think we can and are changing the world (more on that below) so it is, in fact, serious… but not totally hopeless.  And that is what I tried to get across to the panicked woman.

And, I actually decided to give my presentation with that theme.  If you heard all the information at the conference it definitely could put some people into a state of panic.  But, I like the saying, “How do you eat an elephant?”

The answer is one bite at a time.

And, for that one woman, she heard all the bad news but also heard how she can slowly, but surely, make moves to protect herself from The End Of The Monetary System As We Know It (TEOTMSAWKI).

It’s not easy for many to even think about what they need to do in the future but at the Crisis Conference I believe we succeeded in our goal of giving each person a roadmap, and trusted contacts, for securing their lives for the coming storm.

BEFORE I GO

I have now arrived in Panama City and there is one last evening of festivities ahead of us so I will have to keep this short.

But, I did want to include this video for you this week.

This one 3 minute video is actual proof to me that things aren’t hopeless.  They are serious, but not hopeless.

I only just met Julia Tourianski, the maker of the video, a few weeks ago and interviewed her on Anarchast (see here).

I didn’t even realize it but she knew many of my friends and partners, including TDV Managing Editor Redmond Weissenberger and Cody Wilson, the inventor of the 3D printed gun.  She told me she had been following my work and said that she also now wants to get out there and spread the message of peace, love, truth and anarchy.

The video above is just her third but I think it provides inspiration and hope for those who wonder if people will ever start to wake up.  I’m seeing it all over the place now.  Not just on the topics of anarchy but on what is really going on in the world.  Bitcoin, as just one example, is dramatically changing the world and ignitating imagination worldwide.

And it is catching on all over the place.  As example, Julia’s video above was featured on Alex Jones’ Infowars.  Say what you want about Alex but he has a big audience and until a few years ago he was a staunch statist.  He believed in limited government and things like the constitution of the US.

Today, he is reposting blatantly anarchist articles and videos and has had on his program numerous of my friends, and past Anarchast guests, like Redmond Weissenberger, Stefan Molyneux, Adam Kokesh and many more.

The world is changing.  And fast.  At this pace, the Federal Reserve and the US government will be wiped from this planet like the plagues that they are within a few years.  The transtition, however, will be fraught with risk as the controllers of past centuries try to cling to their last vestiges of power.

As I told the woman at our conference this week, “take a deep breath… everything is going to be okay.”  It’s not going to be easy nor is it necessarily going to be all that fun for many people… but a massive paradigm shift in humanity is coming and the brainwashed are waking up.

If you are even aware of this then you are already ahead of the crowd.  If you have begun preparing through owning hard assets and foreign real estate in less oppressive nation states then you are well ahead of the crowd.  If you have already left the Western world, the US being ground central, you are miles ahead.

And if you haven’t, just stick with us here and we will continue to help with information, analysis and services to get you safely through the last great battle for freedom.  This war mostly will happen not on a battlefield but in the minds of people.
