Yesterday morning, in the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, I sat down at Matt’s Big Breakfast to get a quick bite before my trip.
But after Providence led me to sit next to a Marine Staff Sergeant, a simple meal became something else entirely.
The young man was 28 years old, the same age as my oldest son; and he had just left his wife and three kids in Orlando. He was about to begin another tour in Afghanistan.
Over breakfast, we had a candid discussion about his unit, about Iraq and Afghanistan, and about his Commander-in-Chief, Barack Obama… and you’ll be shocked by some of the things that he told me.

Not to bright of a soldier if he thinks Israel is attacking Hamas because they are constantly bombing Israel, and I will tell you why. Since 1948 up until today only 26 Jews have been killed by rocket fire.Israel has killed that many in an hour through shooting at them every day for things like being in a boat out fishing with father, throwing rocks at tanks which are parked on Palestinian land.Getting killed for refusing to leave ones home because Israel wants the land to occupy iot with more Jews.Refusing to take orders at a spot check like feeling up his sister or mother or children in there own home or neighborhood.Sicknous from lack of medicines or treatment as part of a overall plan to make the Palestinians suffer and died from there sicknous.
I could go on and on for days why Palestinians died at the hands of the Jews but very rarely gets any media attention.I say to that soldier if he was living in Gaza with his family enduring the everyday oppression from the Jews not only would he agree to fight back but he would be the one firing those so called rockets.
