No time for the IRS to enforce tax evasion on Al Sharpton because they are too busy harassing conservatives and low income persons selling lucky cigarettes on the street…. they might be cheated out of 3 dollars in taxes per a pack a cigs. 5 Cops to arrest 1 man selling cigarettes and no men available to arrest Al Sharpton who has so far cheated them out of 4.5 million…. do the math!!!! CORRUPTION FULL FORCE IN WASHINGTON!!!!
Quite right TruthandFreedom, humanity is plagued by moral and ethical bankruptcy. This deficit is maintained by our collective failure to get our priorities straight. As much as I hate to say this, Al Sharpton is as much a victim as any of us…a sad, little man who is being eaten from the inside out, poisoned by the corruption afflicting all of us. Our leaders have failed by turning humanity’s moral compass upside down causing many of us to lose our way.
I will never forget the day (some many decades ago) when my mother took me shopping and we crossed the path of a homeless person. I asked her if she could give the person some money and she replied; “Well, you have ten dollars in your pocket. What’s more important to you?”
I thought about it as we walked on by and when we reached our destination I was taken aback by the contrast between the glitter and glamour of a big department store and the plight of a homeless person. I found it difficult to smile, and glimpsed the reality of false joy.
In the end I succumbed to purchase I had planned on, but what I hadn’t planned on was the effect this moral exercise would have on my ability to enjoy something I had wanted for so long. Every time I reached for that toy, the picture of that homeless person popped into mind. I gave the toy to my little sister.
I grew up rebellious but very generous with my money. Today I am broke but filled with the light of truth. Money can never buy this kind of spiritual freedom.
Peace and love to all my fellow humans.
