What a bunch of baloney! The actual air temperature there was 115 degrees, which matches what is predicted for Death Valley, California on Monday. Heck, in late summer outside Sacramento, California, I would routinely experience 108 to 110 degree temperatures. There aren’t any official records for “heat index,” which is meant to be a “feels like” scale and not something hard and fast like an actual temperature measurement.
As for the rest of the story; the heat and the meteors are unconnected. And I think most people have a different idea of “serious” than the author of this piece of crap article, since there aren’t reports of death, destruction, or alien creatures destroying villages. Maybe the author is using serious in the Valley Girl sense, since it’s a pretty air-headed article.
