Westchester County - Popular Suburbs Just Outside NYC

All of the above towns have excellent schools. The exclusive neighborhoods like Scarsdale and Bronxville are at prime locations with frequest commuter trains that can bring you to Manhattan in under an hour. Towns like Mamaroneck has great water views. Those towns all have a charming downtown, quaint local shops, and a convenient train station on Main Street. With the exception of Byram Hills, the commute time to New York City from these towns is only a little over half an hour.

You will find that the towns further and more North of New York City are more affordable. Some of the towns have a median home price of below $500,000. The more North you move, the area becomes less congested, and there are plenty of parks, farms, and reservoirs, perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors.
