Many dog owners will not be able to keep their dogs during the coming Greatest Depression. Pet “Adoption” services will spring up. These services will, for a fee, offer to find new owers for pets which present owners can no longer afford to keep.

They will say they have people out in the country who want to adopt pets, and will take care of “adoption procedures”. They will actually arrange a few such adoptions, and make promo videos for their websites.  They will say they will find happy homes for the pets on farms and ranches and so on. 

But very soon they will run out of people wanting to adopt. Medium sized cities currently have 100,000 or more dogs. And the number of ranches or farms within a few hundred miles might number only in the hundreds. So very soon, they will have many dogs and no where to take them. They will start quietly killing them and burying them in mass graves just outside the city limits. This will be big news. Pet owners will be outraged. There will be angry reprisals. There will be court cases.  This will be but one example of the MANY odd things that will happen during the coming Greatest Depression. You can read lots more on my website.
