After years of searching, an international team of astronomers says they’ve found definitive evidence of a planet orbiting Proxima Centauri, the closest star to the sun. The details are published in Nature today, and this is potentially the single most exciting exoplanet discovery to date.

“A Jovian sized Vulcan was known to the ancient Akkadians of the third millennium B.C. Not only was it known, but they also knew of planets Neptune (that cannot be seen with the naked eye) and the barely visible Uranus. Astronomers are now aware of this large planet and some call it Planet Ten.

Forgot to mention that the Cenos aliens are from a tidally locked planet in the Proxima Centauri star system that we roughly estimated has a surface gravity 3.6 times that of Earth’s. This implies a larger planet than the one now being estimated.
