The Market Ticker - Iowa: Does It Matter?
In a single word: No.
Iowa is the first of the caucus states, and then you have all the game-playing. The DNC has moved their stuff to try to game it their way, wanting more black people (seriously, that’s the reason — New Hampshire is ~2% black while South Carolina is 26%) and neither is representative. South Carolina is about double the national percentage of black people while New Hampshire is a fraction.
So spare me the nonsense about either being “representing America”, never mind Iowa which has a very sizeable desire to, as an example, maintain subsidies and mandates for ethanol from corn in gasoline — a mandate…….
